Betrayed on Deal Day

Betrayed on Deal Day

] Right after sending that message, Jackson suddenly turned to pleading. [Anna, I’m begging you. I can’t live without you. I was wrong. I won’t have any contact with her again. [Anna, for the sake of our past, give me one more chance.] I only looked at them, but didn’t reply, and continued completing my settlement. On Monday, after pulling several all-nighters, I finally finished it. I sent the report to Jackson once I had checked repeatedly that every number was correct, and then transferred a sum of money to him.

Twisted Obsession: The Billionaires Virgin Bride

Twisted Obsession: The Billionaires Virgin Bride

Isabelle continues, “is why a woman with your credentials and apparent intelligence would agree to marry a man she met less than twenty-four hours ago. Even if that man is my son.” The question hangs in the air. Dante doesn’t intervene, doesn’t try to answer for me. This is my test to pass or fail. I consider lying. Consider spinning a romantic tale about instant connection and overwhelming passion. But Isabelle Ashford would see through it in a heartbeat. “Because I had nothing left to lose,” I say honestly. “Yesterday, I discovered that my fiancé had been systematically deceiving me for three years. That my own sister orchestrated my destruction out of jealousy. I lost my engagement, my di

Shadows in Arms

Shadows in Arms

"How not well?" Declan stood abruptly, moving back to the windows. "She tried to sabotage a business deal. Spread rumors to my competitors. Showed up at my apartment unannounced, refusing to leave until security removed her." He paused. "She told anyone who would listen that I had promised to marry her. That I had broken her heart. That I was a monster who used women and threw them away." "Were you?" He looked back at me, and the honesty in his face was brutal. "Yes. By traditional standards, probably. But I never lied to any of them. Never promised more than I could give. Never pretended feelings I did not have."

Dear Ex Husband, You Lose!

Dear Ex Husband, You Lose!

With a gentle smile, Rachel stepped out and rushed over, concern etched on her face. “Delia, are you okay?” Rachel asked, enveloping her in a warm embrace. Delia melted into the hug, allowing the warmth of friendship to envelop her. “No, I’m not,” she admitted, feeling the tears threaten to spill again. “I just caught him cheating on me... in our bed.” Rachel’s expression hardened, anger flashing in her eyes. “That bastard. You deserve so much better, Dee.” “I thought I knew him. I thought we were happy,” Delia whispered, her voice trembling. “And now there’s a baby involved.”

WOUNDS OF DECEIT

WOUNDS OF DECEIT

When pretending started to feel like something more. But I shut the thought down. Quickly. Not tonight. Tonight wasn’t about feelings. It was about making the first move. About slipping the knife in and twisting just enough to watch them bleed. Charlotte and Adrian built their little kingdom on lies and betrayal. Now it was time for it to fall.

ECHOES OF DECEPTION

ECHOES OF DECEPTION

"Do you truly know what he's engaged in? The individuals he's made agreements with, the things he's promised. Isabella's heart accelerated again, her words pressing on in her. She had always trusted Alexander and put her support towards his goals actualization with what they held together, but Clara's remarks were like poison creeping into her brain. "You can choose not to listen to me," Clara said, her voice now almost inaudible. "But, once you uncover the truth, you will realize that all he has ever said to you has been deceit." Isabella looked aside, her thoughts racing. Could Clara be right? Could Alexander have been concealing something deeper all along? She recalled the times Alex

Vows Of Deception

Vows Of Deception

“I’ve made mistakes. I’ve done things I regret. But I’m not lying to you. Not about this.” I swallowed hard, my heart pounding in my chest. I didn’t know what to say. I didn’t know how to respond. I wanted to believe him. I wanted to let go of the fear that had been gnawing at me, the fear that had kept me from opening up to anyone for so long. But how could I? How could I trust him when everything about our relationship had been built on deceit? “I don’t know if I can trust you,” I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. “I don’t know if I can ever trust anyone again.”

fated love

fated love

Tracey's mother shifted uneasily, her eyes darting nervously between the two couples. "We trusted you," Marvin interjected, her tone tinged with betrayal. "But you chose to betray that trust in pursuit of your selfish desires." Tracey bristled, her composure slipping in the face of their accusations. "We only wanted what was rightfully ours," she protested, her voice tinged with desperation. Jace shook his head, a wry smile playing on his lips. "There's nothing frightful about deceit and manipulation," he countered, his words ringing with conviction. "You've shown your true colors, and now you'll face the consequences."

True Mate for Two Alphas

True Mate for Two Alphas

my mother pleaded, her words carrying a poignant sincerity that betrayed her unwavering trust in my newfound position as Luna. In that moment, I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for the deception that had woven its way into the fabric of our relationship. My mother, a woman with genuine intentions but blinded by misguided beliefs, stood before me, tears streaming down her cheeks, fighting against the narrative crafted by Elder Darius.

Her Deceitful Love

Her Deceitful Love

he spoke, lightly tapping on her tear stained cheeks. “You don't want to believe that your love has deceived you,” he grinned, turning more barbaric. His choice of words ached her soul. He was confessing such brutal things to her with no shame or guilt. He was not looking guilty to confess that he had broken her soul with his betrayal and it hurt her beyond her endurance. “Then ask yourself whether Armando Zelvasco has deceived Flora Alfanso by showing himself as Easton Marzel in front of her or……she paused and thrusted her face closer to his. She gazed into his light cerulean orbs with nothing but pain and pain.

Annie
I loved this book. Flora was such a strong character. Finally found a strong FL. I'm fed up of authors pursuing FL as doormat and spineless. I loved the way Flora stood up for herself. The chemistry between ML and FL was intense. Highly recommended.

I finished this book yesterday. I will be honest haha. I had a love hate relationship with the story while I was reading it. Other reviewers said the female lead is a strong one, but it was not the strong that I was expecting. I was expecting Flora to dump Easton because of how he treated her.
