Just minutes after he finally fell back asleep, the door clicked open with George rushing in with wide eyes.
“I just got a call from Deirdre,” he announced. “Tyrell is dead.”
I shrugged, because I knew. I was the one who killed him, after all.
“I think this was all a mistake,” George said, making me frown.
“Well, we can’t change what’s happened. He’s dead, and that’s it,” I said.
“It’s Deirdre,” he told me with alarm. “I don’t think she’s going to let this go from how she sounded on the phone. I think she’s out for blood.”
