Through The Storm

Through The Storm

I used to hear that the grip of the rod was made of out its dead skin. “Well, that is not disturbing at all,” Byron commented. My father seemed to look address Byron and I as he addressed his next words. ‘The Storm that traps Silisk is powered by the rod. If there is one important piece that you must collect, this is it.’ “Easier said than done. As you all might have guessed, Byron and I almost died going in there. And even when we have the submarine, it is too huge to go to the surface just to get to the main entrance. The water there is too shallow. It’s basically impossible at this point.” I muttered, remembering the painful and agonizing feeling of being exposed to Hydrogen Sulfide. At t

I say, forcing calm into my lungs, “do not open anything. Do not shout. Do not let them know exactly where you are.” “I won’t,” she whispers. “Mia, I’m sorry.” “Don’t,” I snap, softer immediately. “Just stay alive. That’s your job.” Kellan drives like he’s hauling something fragile through a storm, fast but controlled, eyes always moving. The streets blur. Every red light feels like an insult. Dawson doesn’t speak. His silence is the sound of a man holding his own violence by the throat. When we pull up near Liberty Crumbs, the street looks almost normal. That’s how danger hides. It borrows the face of a Tuesday.

The Snow Storm

The Snow Storm

“We had better find some where to stay pretty fast, because we are probably already up to three inches of accumulated snow and it is still falling down at an alarmingly fast rate.” “We can not get stranded on the side of the road in this storm. It could take days before anyone found us. Spending Christmas freezing half to death in a cramped car would probably be the worst memory that a child could ever have.” Lacey tells him in a panic. Beides the fact that they could easily freeze to death in the negative temperatures.

The Alpha’s Purchased Mate

The Alpha’s Purchased Mate

I shouted to the artillery crews. An apocalyptic hurricane slammed into the coastline. The wind didn’t just howl. It screamed, with the brutal power of a freight train, the kind that doesn’t care what it hits. Freezing, black rain hammered the cliffs , and that magical storm was so intense it instantly snuffed the glowing Sun-Fire traps along the ridge. The battlefield dropped into pitch-black darkness, lit only by erratic crimson flashes.

they shouted. The entity unleashed a surge of violent power, and suddenly, not only lava but also a hail storm and fierce winds shot toward Adrian. The icy shards cut through the air like knives, striking him with brutal force. Some of Adrian’s clones couldn’t withstand the onslaught and were instantly destroyed. The relentless attacks spelled destruction, and Adrian’s expression turned grave. He knew he had to annihilate everything around him. Boom! Boom! Boom! The entire realm trembled as it seemed on the brink of collapse. Adrian's expression grew icy.

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

Dirty Valentine’s Secret

The silver winter that had blanketed Oakhaven for weeks finally culminated in a "Century Storm"—a meteorological \bm{Anomaly} that turned the Atlantic into a churning wall of white. The wind didn't just howl; it screamed, a high-frequency vibration that rattled the ancient floorboards of the flower shop and threatened to pull the shingles from the roof.

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

The air horn blew for the third time, but it was much further away now. "Oh my God, Thomas." My hands covered my mouth. "Tell me they're not doing what I'm thinking. They couldn't be. Not after Derek." Zombies of all shapes and sizes, in all states of decay, continued pouring out of the trees. This horde was colossal. The color drained from Thomas's face as he watched the multitudes of biters trampling over the terrain below. The air horn blew again, far away this time. "We have to do something." My hands landed on the top of my head, clawing through my hair. What in the hell could they be thinking?

I really got sucked into this book. It was very good. It has nothing to do with wolves, like the blurb above says. It's more like an end of the world type book. Wasn't something I normally read, but I'm glad I did.

The blurb and the title don’t match this book. The story is about a zombie apocalypse, a bunch of strangers that meet and their relationships that develop throughout. I thought the ending was good, but I would love to read a sequel for some much needed closure. Overall, it’s a really good book.

Enduring the Storm for a New Spring

Enduring the Storm for a New Spring

Her tone was still dripping with feigned innocence as she asked, "Ms. Brock, did I say something wrong again? I just wanted to apologize. I didn't expect Mrs. Brock to react so strongly…" Her pretentious act made my blood boil. I couldn't take it anymore. I raised my hand and slapped her hard across the face. "Shut up! If anything happens to my mom, I'll make you pay!" Philip immediately stepped forward, shielding Jane. His gaze at me was icy with anger. "Elyse Brock, are you crazy? Jane just spoke the truth. Why did you slap her? "Your mom has been in surgery more times than she's eaten in the past few years. Even if this hadn't happened, she'd still be in the OR eventually. That's just her
