He simply smiled at me, holding my gaze for what felt like minutes before he let out a sigh and said, “I can’t believe after today, I’m not gonna see you until like…” “…Christmas?” Dean faked a dramatic shudder, “Hell no, it can’t be Christmas. Devin caught me smiling, he was amused and pleased at the same time. He wouldn't look away, he's probably wondering why I'm smiling. I hope he doesn't ask I don't have a reasonable explanation, I can't tell him that I'm smiling because his name has a nice ring and that he's entertaining to look at. "Why are you smiling?" His words echoed. And for some reason, I couldn’t look away as he got to where Sydney stood. Sydney stretched out the book she was holding to him. Dean hesitated at first, but still took it. Then he said something. And…Sydney smiled. Yes, you read right. Sydney smiled at Dean Monroe! I nearly lost it. My blood boiled beneath my skin. But I told myself not to overthink it as I laid in bed that night, doing a throw and catch with my wall.
