Even better if you enjoy her thoroughly so that everybody in the city knows that Kaze’s wife is well used,” Deborah said wickedly. She did not drink from the bottle. She was no longer the same person she used to be. Though Deborah was on the same side as Kailan, she kept her guard up. Deborah knew she was playing with fire by working with someone like Kailan.

Eleanor’s POV As I stepped into the room, my eyes were immediately drawn to Leila. Her beauty was undeniable, like something carved from the moon itself. The silver-grey waves of her hair cascaded down her back, shining softly in the dim light. Her eyes, too, were striking—piercing blue, radiating both warmth and quiet confidence. At that moment, they seemed to spark with an understanding, as if they could see right through me. Her lips, full and inviting, curved into a gentle, knowing smile that made my heart flutter uncontrollably. And though her frame was slight, Leila carried herself with a serene but unmistakable aura of strength.

But my expression shifted instantly into a cold, dangerous glare. “I am still the daughter of Vladimir Devali — and who are you?” I asked, stepping closer. “Just another elite guard, nothing more.” Before she could answer, I kicked her square in the jaw. She stumbled backward and fell onto the sofa, clutching her now‑crooked nose. “Speak to me with disrespect one more time, and I will feed you to the sharks.” I pulled a dagger from behind my back and drove it hard into the cushion right beside her thigh. She screamed as the blade sank deep into the fabric. None of the other guards dared move — they were clearly terrified.

He held on to my right shoulder, so I turned to face him. "Will you take your hand off my shoulder or I'll turn you into a mouse?" I raised my left eyebrow, glaring at his cold yet undeniably handsome face. "Whoops!" He immediately took his hand off my shoulder. "You two! What are you waiting for?" The guard on the table called us. He's looking at me from head to toe right now. I quickly walk towards him and say, "My name is Alenna Delevigne from the city of Nalaknabak. I'm a..."

She dialed the phone and said, "Noah Wilkerson, have you seen that popular Rem? That's the jerk!" The man laughed and said, "The little girl looks good, I am very satisfied with this." Upon hearing the praise from the other party, Deborah rolled her eyes and said, "Don't forget to take pictures and record videos!" "Can't forget, but this little girl doesn't have much background, right?" "Of course not!" Deborah lied, "He's just a jerk, what kind of background could he have? Remember, don't leave any evidence behind!" "Don't worry, I am an old hand at this, I will definitely handle it perfectly!"

Then, quietly, she spoke. “She’s not who she says she is.” Caelum looked at her. “You’re sure?” Her tone was flat, absolute. “One hundred percent.” Lysander smirked faintly. “Gut feeling?” “No,” Deborah whispered, her reflection glinting in the window beside her. “Instinct. The same instinct that’s kept this family alive.” Outside, through the glass, Selene glanced back once from the car. Her smile was perfect, too perfect. And in that fleeting reflection, Deborah saw it again.

My heart panged as I visioned Delilah all alone Goddess knew where. Crippling her way, Deborah approached us and Adeline looked at her curiously, "Who is she?" I waved my hand, "She is Deborah." Pulling away from Lucas, Adeline eyed Deborah from head to toe, "And why does she look so much like Asteria?" Lucas replied slowly, "Because she is Asteria's sister." Deborah immediately spat venomously, "Only by blood. Otherwise, we hate each others' guts." Recovering from the shock, Adeline quivered her eyebrow, "Why?" She then glanced between me and Lucas, "And how can we trust her?"

“You’re not getting another penny from either of us. You need to leave this town and go home, Debbie. Now.” She blinked, then her lips parted to show teeth in a semblance of a smile. “I think you’re forgetting what I know and what will happen if I tell,” she said through gritted teeth. “I haven’t forgotten anything.” Levi pushed himself off the wall and casually went to sit in a chair at the end of the table, stretching his long legs out in front of him. He looked at her pityingly. “I think you’re confused, Debbie. You couldn’t have seen anything as there was nothing to see. I know you did a lot of partying back in high school...”

Tied to it with thick yellow rope was Leo. His head drooped, his small shoulders rose and fell in a slow, drugged rhythm. He still wore his blue hospital gown, bare feet dangling just above the concrete. Behind him, her manicured hand on Leo’s shoulder, stood Deborah. For a second, I couldn’t breathe. It felt like betrayal itself froze my throat. "Deb... Deborah?" I whispered, my voice shaking so hard the words barely came out. The screen showed my best friend—the woman who held my hand in labor, the woman I called sister, the one I’d trusted with every secret. She wasn’t smiling. Her face was cold, professional, hollow as she stared straight into the camera.
