Was she really going to leave just like that? Jacob stood up, painfully dragging his legs. He had to be strong, as strong as she was. He didn’t want to appear weak. All of us shifted back. Jacob went to where he buried Addison's scrunchie and retrieved it. He put it in his left hand again as he inhaled her scent. That was the end of our day, and we all went back to the hotel suite. Jacob was oddly quiet the whole time; it seems like he was beyond exhausted to even bicker with Sir Payne. Or maybe he knows there is no point in doing so. We just have to end this as early as we can and go home. --------
