AVA As I sat on the edge of Derek’s massive bed, I couldn’t help but take in the size and grandeur of the room. It was enormous—larger than my family’s entire living space—with high ceilings and walls lined with shelves of books and artifacts that spoke of Derek’s status as the future Alpha. My eyes landed on the bed itself. It was a grand piece of furniture with dark, heavy posts and a thick mattress draped in luxurious navy-blue sheets. I sat stiffly, feeling like I didn’t belong in a space like this.

The room is tastefully decorated in muted tones of deep burgundy and soft beige, creating an atmosphere of intimate sophistication. A king-sized bed, adorned with plush, silky sheets, stands in the center of the room, its pristine white covers gently turned down, inviting us to unwind. A scattering of plump pillows, some piled against the headboard and others nestled at the foot of the bed, promises comfort and support for whatever it is that is to come.

He carried me down the hall to a secondary, smaller bedroom near the infirmary. It was a cosy room, quiet and straightforward. He lay me down on the bed, pulling the covers over me. He climbed in beside me, pulling me against his warm body, cradling me with one arm. "The Kingdom can wait until morning," Deacon decided, burying his face in my hair. "Tonight, we just breathe."

His eyes opened. The ceiling wasn’t hospital white. That was the first thing he noticed. Softer. Warmer. The lights were dim, not the harsh overhead glare of ICU. The air smelled different too. Still medical, faint antiseptic lingering, but layered over something else. Something… hers. Decker’s gaze shifted. He was still in a hospital bed. Monitors still attached. IV line secured. Oxygen nearby but not forced. But the room wasn’t a hospital room. Furniture lined the walls, real furniture, not clinical metal. A dresser. A chair. A small table stacked with what looked like books and a few scattered papers. And a bed. A real bed. Not far from him.

I always loved coming to this hospital. Huh, talk about sounding sick. Unlike any other hospital, EverCare had a comfortable feeling. When I first came here I thought it was a rich five-star hotel instead of some normal prestigious hospital. The whole place was beautifully decorated with green flower pots making the place appear eco-friendly, softly dimmed halogens casting a warm ambiance, dark brown wood, floor to ceiling glass walls with sheer white drapes tucked in the corner of each side gave the place an airy feeling and beige leather couches lied around the lounge area here and there. The whole place had a warm atmosphere. It even had the facilities of a five-star hotel too.

He is near to fainting. He is now near his son's hospital bed. The VIP bed has world-class and state-of-the-art facilities. New medical equipment, a comfortable bed almost the size of a hotel mattress, an air purifier, a television set, a sala set, kitchen, refrigerator, and a washroom you can sleep on. The room is fully airconditioned. The walls are all painted white, Tanashiri's favorite color.

She wondered as she crossed to sit on the bed and remove her shoes. They had removed the wheeled hospital bed from the room and had replaced it with a simple wrought iron bedframe and mattress pilfered from the eternally useful MegaStore, creating a simple but comfortable bedroom for the two of them. Connery had selected crisp white linens and a bedspread in a deep blood red and tossed overtop several faux fur blankets that made the simple bed seem luxurious and inviting.

My black hair and honey skin a stark contrast of colorations. His bed was almost as big as the ones at the cabin. But his had a gorgeous metalwork headboard. Not really latticework, because that would have been too girly for the masculine guy. But an intricate weaving of copper, stainless steel, and iron strips. The colors were perfect and suited Saint's personality well. The other end of the room was situated to be his kitchen and dining area. A small section in the middle of the room was dedicated to a desk that was meticulously clean. Directly opposite that was a couch and an enormous TV that seemed to take up all available wall space.

A single window allows natural light to filter in, casting a warm glow throughout the room. Dominating the center of the space is a hospital bed, surrounded by beeping and whirring machines. In it is Alpha Donald, lying in the bed, heavily bruised and bandaged, with a swollen face littered with cuts and scrapes. His eyes are closed, and his breathing is labored as his chest rises and falls.

Valentine paused for a moment to look around. The electric home bed was more luxurious than a hospital bed, but it still couldn't escape the appearance of a bed where a patient would lie. Various machines for terminal lung cancer patients crowded around the bed, making it seem like a hospital room had simply been moved here, not giving the feeling of a bedroom at all.
