Delilah Shot In Head Novels & Stories

I tried my best to distract him with lighthearted chatting while sending Lucas an SOS signal through our mind link. "Lucas, Tina and I need you now…" However, Lucas had long since cut off the mind link between us and never replied to my distress call. Forced with no choice, I could only swallow the poison under Kael's watchful eyes. I lay on the bed on the brink of death. Slowly, the poison spread all over my body and attacked my heart. I felt something tugging painfully at my heart as if it was going to be ripped out of my body at any moment. I was in such pain that I curled up in a fetal position.

This was dead serious. "¿Qué pasó esta vez, Yara? (what happened this time Yara?)" She sounded so relaxed. I could understand that she had been through worse, but I was freaking out. "Mamá, soñé con él. Él estaba en mi suéno y era tan jodidamente real. Incluso mató a Lane y le disparó a alguien y él- (mom I dreamt of him. He was in my dream, and it was so bloody real. He even killed Lane and he shot someone and he-)" She cut me off.

“We need a minute with him. Wait in the car.” Cassian looked between us, jaw tight, then nodded once and walked out through the glass doors. The four of us followed at a slower pace and stopped on the quiet stretch of pavement beside the building where the afternoon light fell without interruption. Dante studied me for a long moment and asked the only question that mattered. “Did you kill him?” I met his eyes without blinking and answered in the same even tone I used for every report. “Yes.” Lucien let out a short breath and shook his head. “Of course you did.”

Delilah, who was standing, fell right into my arms and I could sense Marte's happiness for us having an excuse to hold her again. "I am so lost right." Gilan - the youngest among us - said, gesturing explosions by his temples to show that his mind was blown by what had just happened. As soon as he finished his comment, we all looked at one another and every single one of them started talking at the same time. "...Change the plan..." "... and what the fuck...?" "...how did you not know...?" "...Wolfsbane..." "...why did you capture her if...?" "...let her choke you..."

The chaos outside seemed to fade momentarily as they entered the principal's room, a deceptive calm settling within the confined space. The principal, nervous but compliant, opened the door, revealing an empty room. He gestured for Liam to enter, and with a smirk, Liam walked towards the door. But in the blink of an eye, the atmosphere shifted once again. As Liam reached out to twist the doorknob, he felt a sudden touch behind his head. Without hesitation, he reacted, swiftly turning around and firing his weapon. The bullet found its mark, hitting Lane in the chest. Lane, who had been pushed forward by Adam, crumpled to the ground, life extinguished in an instant.

Eli was sprawled across his bed, half-asleep, but sat up the moment I stepped in. “You look like crap,” he said, yawning. “What happened?” I sank into the edge of my bed. “There was an ambush at the gala. Gunfire. Teddy got shot… grazed on the shoulder.” Eli’s eyes widened. “What?! You okay?” “Yeah,” I muttered. “But Delilah wasn’t having it. She slapped me. Said I was supposed to protect him.” “She slapped you?” Eli repeated, incredulous. “Right in front of everyone. Didn’t even wait for an explanation. And they didn’t even take him to a hospital. There's a whole medical building here.”

My eyes scan her body and I pull the pocket knife in her shoe towards him, it plunged into his head before he could fire the next shot. I am seated on the ground with a lifeless Delilah in my arms.

She pulled a small blade from her belt and drove it toward his gut. A gunshot echoed. Delilah jerked forward, stunned. Blood spread across her blouse like spilled ink. She turned— Amara stood in the hallway behind her, pistol raised, eyes wild. Delilah stumbled back, reaching for Matteo’s face. "I would’ve burned the world with you," she rasped. He caught her as she fell. Lowered her gently to the floor. Her eyes fluttered closed. A faint smile ghosted across her lips. Then she was gone.

When it tries to run me over the second time, I quickly roll away and bring out my gun. It turns and faces me with a growl. It starts running towards me and I pull the trigger, shooting it in the head. It lets out a shout of pain. Cecile arrives just in time to see it fall to its death. "Delilah, are you okay?" she asks, rushing to meet me on the ground. "I was so focused on getting to the house, I didn't know you weren't with me until I heard you calling." She looks down at my hand holding onto my ankle. "It's sprained," she confirms and helps me to my feet.

A video popped up from an unknown address, and she frowned as she took the phone. She tapped to play the video. On the screen, Tristan stood before the camera, his smile looking unnervingly pale. Behind him, two figures were bound to chairs, their bodies exposed. It was Delilah and Marvin. In front of him was a phone that was live-streaming the scene. He held a sharp dagger in his hand and walked toward Delilah, peeling the tape off her mouth. With extreme fear, Delilah shook her head vigorously as she pleaded, "Tristan, it's me, Lila! What are you…"
