We both left her room and sat on the couch as we waited for them. Haletta turned on the tv, flicking through channels to find something to watch. "Tv is boring." she announced. She stopped when a song began to play. "Fuck, I love this song!" The intro played out and Haletta stood up pretending like she's performing at a concert. "Nine in the morning, The man drops his kids off at school." she sang as she swayed her hips side to side. I think this is Harry Styles. "SHE!" she yelled out.

And he also knew how much this could hurt his mate. Delilah... Delilah who was promised to another Alfa. Could she be in love with him? That would make things much harder for our bonding and for Marte. Shit. I could already feel his jealousy. As long as she was a minor, I wouldn't feel our bond, but something told me I would be as jealous as my wolf was. This was seriously bad news.

I focus my mind on her and only her, and everything else around me fades, even the assault being taken out on my body. Delilah's stunning face comes into view, smiling beautifully at me. It was more than what she had originally given him, likely including the value of the car Cedric had left behind. She stared at the number for a long time, then she opened the conversation she had secretly pinned to the top of her messages. With a swipe of her finger, she deleted the contact. Throughout the flight, she absentmindedly rubbed the wedding ring on her finger. When the clouds swallowed the earth below, covering the barren landscape in endless white like freshly fallen snow, Delilah finally arrived in Europe.

It looks bad if they refused us. Delilah noticed us walk in and seated us right away. Pouring water for us.. she keeps up a cheerful dialogue.. always smiling. She is so beautiful.. her waist length curly dark brown hair and sky blue eyes.. she’s not short.. but she isn’t tall. Probably 5’5.. she’s wonderfully curvy.. in all the right places.. If there was ever a woman that would make me want to cheat on my mate.. it would most definitely be this one.

What should I do? I stare at the message, then exhale a humorless laugh ,of course Delilah never rests. Always prowling, always scheming, desperate to stay two steps ahead even when she does not know she’s already five behind. My thumbs hover over the screen, and I let my response drip with deliberate calm. Me: Give her what she thinks she wants. We have a bigger mystery to resolve. My babies are alive .We need to find them.

I placed the glass of water beside her and said, "Mrs. Montenegro was concerned about you, miss. She wanted me to bring you some water." Riezel nodded, her eyes welling up with tears again. But then, to my surprise, she reached out and grasped my arm. "Can I ask you something? What's your name?" she said, her voice low and urgent. I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But Riezel's eyes were pleading, and I couldn't bring myself to refuse her. "My name is Delilah, miss." I said, trying to sound neutral. Riezel's grip on my arm tightened. "I've noticed the way Raphael looks at you, Delilah. He seems to trust you, to value your opinion. And I was wondering...could you help me get closer to him?"

“Good to see you again.” When I introduced Lila, Kael’s charm intensified noticeably. He reached out and took her hand, holding it for longer than necessary. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Delilah. Traveling with newborns must be exhausting, so if there’s anything I can do to help make things easier, just say the word.”

The staff gave us a card, and then we got into the elevator. “Angeli, what kind of bachelorette party is this? Ate Angie and Ate Kara didn’t come... Don’t tell me you’re leaving me here too?” Angeli didn’t answer. The elevator opened on the sixth floor, and she dragged me down the dark hallway. “Martha... Don’t waste this moment, okay? It’s just one night. One chance to score with someone else. After this, you won’t be available anymore. Don’t miss this chance, and just make this night amazing.”
