For the first time, uncertainty flickered across Gena's face. She looked from Jax to Delilah, who was now staring at her with cold, quiet fury. "This isn't over," Gena hissed. "You’re hurting poor Emilia, intentionally. You took vows before God and everyone we know. You can't just throw her away for some secretary." "Personal assistant," Delilah corrected softly, a small smirk playing on her lips. "And I'm not just a warm body. Your daughter is.”

My phone vibrated several more times. The other person lost it and kept sending me one voice message after another. [Do you think everyone in the group chat is dumb? Do you think people will believe a random CT scan image you found online?] [You're old enough to be his mother, yet you're still acting like some young girl and pulling tricks like this. Have you no shame?] [I'm the one Christopher is going to marry! If you still have any dignity left, hand in your resignation tomorrow. Don't make me go to the office and humiliate you in public!]

“I have plans to take over the werewolf world. And I want you to help me do it.” At first, I didn’t say anything. I was still processing the message. Then a sudden bout of laughter overtook me and for the next two minutes, the sound of my deep laughter echoed in the throne room. “Oh, you’re funny,” I said, after the bout of laughter had died down. “You cast me aside for all my life, and now you want me to help you take conquer the wolves?” Delus said nothing. Just merely stared at me. “No fucking way,” I said when it was clear that Delus wasn’t going to respond first.

He points at a place that he already marked with red pen and starts to read out loud since I didn't bother to stand up from where I'm sitting "The Luna's condition is known as dream delusion. Sometimes it happens when memories are induced by the experience of a vivid dream. Other times it..." "Anders, Anders, Anders... We already established the fact that the seer was right! I really don't want to know the content of your little book if it doesn't tell me more than what I already know to be the fact. So kindly skip, skip, skip the part I already know and go to the part I don't know."

He doesn't speak for a minute so I'm guessing he didn't hear me, I was just about to say it slightly louder when he says "Close your eyes and concentrate think of the amulet, what you want it for and trust your instincts to lead you down the right tunnel. If the amulet is there, it is waiting for you." I stand there with my eyes closed concentrating like Asher said, but I feel like an idiot stood here trying to feel which way to go. I can't feel a damn thing and then I get a tingling feeling in my chest. Folen helping me. he leads me down the third from the left passage way. "Asher I'm going down the third tunnel." "OK stay safe and keep going."

I questioned angrily. “What delusions?” “The ones where you spew nonsense about you EVER being my mate, fated or chosen. The ones where you insist I will release you from your sentence, now or ever. The ones where you think I would EVER choose you over Chastity, over my sweet girl, over my fated mate. The ones where you refuse to acknowledge that I am sickened by the mere sight of you. Those delusions.”

“One is the creature of the night and the other is the guardians of the moon. Where is this world heading too?” Moon forced laughter. She despised hybrids and believed no one should work against the course of nature. He agreed with her to the point. Because…as a hybrid, he was often confused with his identity. The caged beast often rattled within him, but with only partial shifter gene, shifting and running against the wind will forever be a dream. He blamed his parents for such a curse. “Moon, mark my words…Aluxious is leading Selene right into its destruction. Can’t you sense it?”

"Exactly. We've got a big family to back you up. Every family back home has multiple sons. That's how you support each other. Your family only has you, which shows bad genes. Our Chloe will give you plenty of sons in the future." The emergency call had already connected, but because I had muted it, I could not hear the voice on the other end. I forced down my disgust and turned my head slightly, tapping Morse code on my smartwatch. Just then, Tom suddenly noticed the smartwatch on my wrist. His eyes sharpened, and he reached over and snatched it away. He fiddled with it twice, saw 'Emergency Call' on the screen, and exploded instantly. "You bastard! You actually dared to call the police?"

My sight became much more blurry as the second went by till I was unconscious. ==== The beeping sound echoed in the room, her lifeless body was placed in an incubator where she was kept for days and observed like a specimen. Delilah was genetically changed in the land, her skin was transformed so were her eyes, hair, voice and every single thing that made her who she was. It was like staring into the eyes of another soul. “Hmm.” She began to hit on the glass while her tank was being filled with gas that took over her body system. Clogging her airways and vision. She began to lose consciousness slowly.

The hallucinations intensified, an onslaught of sensations that defied the boundaries of my fractured sanity. "Embrace him," Lila howled, her voice a feral command. The specter of Lucius drew closer, his presence overwhelming. The dungeon warped, twisted into a labyrinth of desire and despair. I clawed at the illusions, the boundary between reality and hallucination disintegrating like fragile parchment. In the throes of the heat-induced psychosis, I surrendered. The barriers crumbled, and I embraced the phantoms that danced in the shadows of my fractured mind. Lucius, an apparition of desire, consumed my thoughts.
