Fail on purpose. He entered the combat ring, his eyes scanning the crowd, and he froze. Standing among the nobles, dressed in black, a man Lysan hoped he would never see again. Roman Da'Luka. The young version of the Demon king Lysan had killed in his previous life, looking extremely young and charming, with pale grey eyes. And he was looking directly at Lysan.

The demon met every blow with raw, abyssal strength, its claws leaving gouges in the stone walls as they traded hits that sounded like thunderclaps echoing through the hall. "Is that all you've got?" the demon hissed, its eyes glowing like embers as it swung a massive, shadow-cloaked fist. Kai ducked the blow, the wind from the strike ruffling his hair, and countered with a palm strike to the demon's chest that sent a shockwave rippling through the corridor. The demon staggered back, but only for a heartbeat before lunging forward with a guttural roar, its speed defying its massive size.

The Demon King leaned back, one leg slung over the armrest, grinning down at me with a slow, cruel smile. He was red-skinned and powerfully built and his body seemed to have been carved from molten stone. Two curved horns rose from his brow and black hair darker than night itself flowed down his back. A short, trimmed beard traced his jaw, but what caught my attention the most was the fact that he was... NAKED? “What in the fuck?” I muttered under my breath as I placed my hands over my eyes, trying to avoid the eye of the monster in between his legs. "Where the hell are your clothes?”

Demon stopped tickling the little boy and looked to make sure there was no ooze on him. It was out of habit he did this, for he had not left a bit of ooze on anyone or thing since Evelynn and Gammy had done the spell on him. He looked at his hands and arms, which were black but had not oozing thick stuff falling off all around him. The ooze had solidified and now looked similar to skin only slightly thicker. Which was pretty cool because it seemed that nothing would stab through it. Demon decided he had his own suit of armor in a sense. He wore it all day, every day, and never had to remove it. Surely, a mate would be attracted to that, Demon thought.

That night, the moon rose perfectly. Gavin exited a grand classical building and quickly transformed himself into a white eagle. Just a few meters into the night air below, something didn't feel right. Through his eyesight, Gavin tried to figure it out, even though it wasn't daylight. However, the advantage of seeing long distances was quite reliable. An extraordinary ability bestowed upon the eagle demon nations. Gavin smiled faintly, then circled around the branch of a large tree then seemed to vanish out of sight in the air. Down below, several stalkers were scattered as their beloved quarry disappeared without a trace.

A moment later he returned, turning corporal once more and carrying her bags. "How did you do that?" He raised a brow, as if it were obvious. "I'm a spectral demon." "That is so cool. So you're like a ghost or something?" "Most humans who think they've seen a ghost are actually witnessing a spectral demon." Her curiosity racing she asked jokingly, "Can you go all Jedi and move things with your mind?" He cocked his head, as if he were about to give a lecture to a group of children. "Yes, when I go fully demonic I have telekinetic abilities. And I can't be harmed or killed. It makes my kind invaluable, especially on the battlefield."

These demons aren't as powerful as they would be in their realm, but they're still not easy to kill. I stomp on a few, crushing them like bugs. Izzy swoops down and chomps a couple at a time while breathing fire on a few more. I look over and see Gabrial and Tazi have shifted, too. The alicorn stabs a demon in the chest while the tiger tears him to pieces. The warriors are using their swords one after another, but the demons keep coming. I don't like this. We're fighting hard, and we haven't even seen Surtur yet.

I shouted at them angrily because they seemed to forget that they were in the middle of a war. They quickly followed even though they were surprised because they didn't expect to see me there. I helped in the fight. I strike a powerful kick that hit the neck of the demon which made it stagger. I immediately took advantage of that opportunity and quickly cut his neck and stabbed him in the heart. The black human-like demon fell to the ground and slowly turned into black fragments. "Saye, what is that you want me to see-" I say as I enter but pause with wide eyes and back hitting against the wall, shocked. "What the hell is that?" One of the boys, the youngest, has some one-eye creature. It's like a dark gooey substance paste, and someone just glued those plastic eyes for arts and crafts. Its round yellow eyes look around frantically. I feel a chill running down my spine, seeing how disgusting it is. "In the Demon Realm, these are called Carcurus; they are low-level creatures that find a victim and stick themself on a host sucking the life force out of them."
