She will belong to the crown." I gulped. I hadn't thought about the mark, but Ash knew, and so did Morfran. I bet that was the real reason he asked for my blood. He wanted to leave a mark, not only to turn me into his slave but to humiliate Ash even further. A demonic grin spread across Morfran's lips. "I would have to bring her to the verge of death, nearly drain her, to leave a permanent mark after just one bite... Then again, I cannot promise that it won't happen."

"You know the rules. Contact means consequences. For both of you." I stare at the message, my jaw clenching. Marcus has been my mentor since everything changed. He's kept me alive, taught me how to control my abilities, how to channel the wolf without losing myself to it. He's saved my life more times than I can count. Arisa looked shocked at Liz's outburst. I just hugged her to me.

Kyle is dead.” Asher backed up. “So why is his mark here?” Elara stepped forward, her expression tightening. “Because someone wants us to believe he isn’t.” Damon’s fingers curled around the shard. His voice dropped to a growl. “Or someone wants Lyra.” I clutched Damon’s arm, heart thundering. Lyra shifted in my arms, sensing the fear.

He trailed the knife along the sides of Mark's lips. Mark shook with fear and smiled widely. "Good." Dante remarked and pushed the knife back to Mark's neck. "Smile perfectly." Dante pushed the knife into his neck slowly as Mark maintained the grin with tears and sweats. With one clean and sharp slit, Dante tore Mark's throat, putting an end to Mark's existence. Pushing Mark's dead body to the floor, Dante struck the knife into his chest and stabbed multiple times, memories flashing in his head as he did so.

Never given him a reason to fear it. Until now. Evren pulled his shirt over his head and stared down at the symbol. A chill settled over him. The mark was different. Only slightly. I nod, “Alright, I’ll ask Azazel?” “Ask Azazel what?” Said demon asks, appearing before me with my son Fallon, Bree and Zoe. Lana runs to the woman and leads to the breakfast table, leaving me to handle the demon. Rising from my seat, I wave to my son and the Demon. “We were talking about using a spell that might help them find their mates. There was talk of using The Mark,” Azazel shakes his head, “The Mark will only work on mated couples. None of you marked your mates before they disappeared.”
