The Lords all grimaced at the threat but Echron smiled and raised a hand in treaty. “General…we are merely in awe of her raw beauty…will you not tell us of her origins?” Batton sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “She is a demon, Lord Echron…and no there are no more like her…now if you’ll excuse me I must deliver her to the King’s chambers.” He turned as the official came forward and handed him some papers.

Dakota clearly heard the ominous sound and looked up, but there appeared to be nothing visible. His expression of astonishment had barely faded when a deafening roar echoed through the air. A voice reverberated, as imperious as a deity's. The voice was extremely majestic, like an emperor lording over every living being. It pounded down like a thunderclap from above the spiral staircase, surging down on the 95th floor, making everyone feel as small and insignificant as ants in the sea. At the same time, there was another inky Demonic Aura. This Demon Aura was bizarrely black, seemingly distorting and engulfing the light around it. It descended the spiral staircase and turned into a massive black Wolf Claw. Like a giant hand about to pinch an ant, it streaked toward Ding Hao, trying to squash him.

I gasped, my fingers curling around his fur. "Relax," a deep, heavy voice sounded in my head. What the! I frantically looked around, searching for a dark-eyed demon, but none caught my eye. Maybe I was going delirious and hallucinating things. "Stop moving so much." My eyes widened with alarm. It was no hallucination. I could really hear the demon. But... Why would he tell me that? If not... I glanced down. "Was that you?" "Yes. It's me, Theron, Hades' wolf."

“I won’t fall for it.” She reached out, but before her fingers could touch mine, her image blurred and then vanished into the darkness. I gasped, staggering back almost falling to the ground.
