“You know, I bet we could rake in some serious cash if I hosted a fundraiser at my club.” Benji blinked at me. “Sorry?” Harley’s head spun on a swivel to face me. Her smile was bright and all for show, while her eyes twinkled with devilish curiosity. “You’d be willing to host a fundraiser at Ascension to raise money for wayward teens?” I nodded. “Of course.” Benji cocked his head to the side. “Hosting a fundraiser for kids at a strip club seems a bit—” he trailed off like he was afraid to finish the sentence for fear of offending me.

His arch enemy was hard to find. But a few years ago, he had found out who was his arch enemy. It was an organisation called The Demon Hunters. The Hunters was a large organization runned by humans who go around catching and killing demons. They strongly believed that demons harm the world and people. With their existence, humans can never have peace. They have a strong hatred towards demons and demons vice versa.

“It must be someone of a high class demon. Like me or Agares.” Both the demons had a tight frown on their forehead. “Oddly enough, it is a smell I have never ever known before. It’s as if the girl itself smelled like a demon.”

But, their attacks don’t reach us because of the barriers that protect the entire school. “W-what kind of creatures are they?” Caya stammered and exclaimed out of confusion and there was also a trace of intense fear in her. She is shaking. “Demons!” Acanta answered, who was usually calm and quiet in any kind of situation, but now, I could not fathom the expression on her face. “Demons are attacking the whole Academy. Our celestial duty–” “You don't have to remind us about that duty you were talking about, Nicanor. Storm Magic: Doubling Disaster, Lightning Tornado!” Raid interrupts what Nicanor was saying and then hastily rushes at the opponents.

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

“That’s AIDS! You’re harming someone’s life!” “I saw how your son disturbed others during the movie! He even stabbed someone with a needle! That’s really despicable, how could a child be this evil?”

The dormitory was singing praise and worship songs around me as they cast the devil (I) to go back to hell and get burnt in hell fire. I pulled the covers up my head and let the deep darkness that looked like an abyss cover me as the voices around me became louder. All I wanted was to study, become a doctor, get good grades and get out of the orphanage; I didn't want to be called a devil in school.

"One stands guard at the entrance, while the other feasts upon the flesh of the unfortunate." Deacon absorbed the information, his mind racing with tactical calculations. "Demons possess an uncanny ability to multiply rapidly, my friend," he warned, his voice laced with caution. "However, I have devised a plan. I shall ascend to the roof of the house, unleashing my fiery breath to engulf it in flames, distracting one of the demons. Meanwhile, you will engage the other demon, aiming to sever its horn, even if capturing it proves elusive," he explained, his voice carrying a weight of strategic insight.

The camera bounced with each step until she ducked into a corner and held it steady. "Dad, I have to make this quick. This might affect the school. Fuck... Fuck..." Her voice shook. In the background, something was screaming. "At the party, something happened. There are demon attacks and a lot of grim reapers. This will fuck up the school's reputation and we need damage control immediately. This is bad. Worse than Seraphina and Annalise dying in the school premises." She turned the phone and panned it across the scene. There were Bodies. Blood too. Lots of it. Everywhere.

I blurted out the question. I noticed that his smile faltered. "Ethan Grant." He responded grimly before he turned away to look in front. "Ethan is the biggest douchebag in this college. He thinks he owns the place because his dad's the Dean. He likes to beat people up for fun." Skylar put in bitterly. I could feel my face contorting in disgust. What kind of a creep beat people up for fun? Maybe I could teach him a lesson or two. ************* "Hey Verena, wait up!" I heard Skylar's breathless voice call out from behind.
