Seeing the demon coming down from the stairs, I hurriedly jumped from my seat, going to pounce on him. ‘What have you done, why??’ I yelled at him, hitting him hard. Instead, he pushed me very hard away, and I went crashing to the floor. I raised up my eyes, looking at Daphine standing beside him, watching him. I felt disgusted by the two of them. ‘Do you think I ever loved you?’ He said, his words were heartbroken to me. ‘I only take you to bring me more money. How dare you interrupt my peace with my girl!!’

It was warm tonight, and Sally liked casual Doom, something about seeing the devil without armor made her smile, maybe because it made her feel closer. The dark blue aura surrounding him pressed against her burning skin, sending a thrill along her heated skin, and desire, through her. All the rumors about him turned out to be true. He was the Devil. The real Devil. Finn stepped forward deliberately, each movement slow, lethal, deliberate. He stopped just in front of her, the room now deathly silent except for the beat of her pulsing heat.

She turned back to her desk—and froze. In the black glass of the window next to her, her reflection was… something else. It was her, but twisted. Hollow-eyed. Skin cracked like old porcelain. A demonic grin stretching across her face, fanged and unnatural. The light above flickered violently. Her screen dimmed, then flared white. She sat back down, breath catching in her throat.
