I licked my lips, “How do you all know there was a demon or devil?” He snickered sarcastically, “Initially, no one would believe that but when you live your life as a Vincenzo, you start to believe the contract is real.” He stopped, “It’s more like a curse really. Everyone calls it a curse…” “...” Soft wind blew, making my hair come to my face so I tucked them behind my ear again, “Do you know what the contract says?” He nodded, “Wealth, power, fame,” He clicked his tongue, “In exchange for tormenting misery.” He glanced at the church, “A bit of added twisted personality too.”

Contract Description: The devil’s work. Or more specifically, Lucifer’s design. The contract is a power that binds two individuals by marking their souls with a very intricate ability. A contract must be agreed upon by two individuals which they cannot fight against as the soul inflicts an equitable amount of psionic energy to each other. What would seal a normal human would not seal Lucifer thus the contract seals them in a way that both of them need to follow it. If a human would feel a slight shock every time he doesn’t follow the terms of the contract, Lucifer might feel like he is getting struck by a meteor.

Victor responded with a big smile. "Here, Miya." In her heart, Miya knew that if the demon could help her get out of this problem, she'd be happy to work with them. After all, they didn't know each other. All Damian needed was a child. Miya figured it wouldn't matter either way. That's what Miya thought after she'd signed her name where Victor had pointed on the contract sheet. "We'll be there soon, Miya. Do you still want to daydream?"

The timer on the screen read: 23:47. Claire’s muffled scream echoed through the speakers as the blade pressed closer, drawing a thin line of blood. Elena’s world narrowed to that single image. The man who had just killed for her, who had confessed his year-long obsession, now stood at her side as the real cost of their twisted union stared back at them in high definition. The devil’s contract had just claimed its first true casualty, and the night was far from over.

It was just a way for him to have control and power over me. But I’m the one with the power here. To get my revenge, I would do anything, I would give anything, and right now, I was selling my soul to the devil. But in this story, there are two devils. One doesn’t just know it yet.

He replied, peeling away from where he had been leaning against the door. "Some of that blood money is being put to good use after all." I responded. “Do you know what you did? I unlocked the drawer at the bottom and pulled out a black envelope. Inside was the original contract—signed, sealed, and dated. I brought it over to the nightstand, opened the drawer, pulled out a silver lighter, and lit the edge of the paper. The flames caught fast. I can make the charges disappear, but I’m going to need something from you first.” I knew what it was before he even said it. “Sign the papers,” he leaned down to tuck a strand of hair from my face while maintaining eye contact with me. “And then disappear from my life, forever.” He said it with so much certainty that I felt like he had driven a stake clean through my heart, impaling me with his words. I blinked rapidly, trying to make sense of it all before it finally settled in my head. Curtis Blackwood was the fucking devil.

I thought for a moment, trying to think of another solution, but there wasn’t one, at least, not one I could see at this moment. Taking a breath, I finally say, “Okay.” I could see the slight smirk on his face, but I shook it off. “But you’re not going to sleep in the bed with me. I am making that damn clear.” Ash chuckles, handing me a pen and pointing to one of the lines, “Sign here.” He says. I took the pen from him and glanced over the contract again, shaking my head. “Why do I feel like I’m making a deal with the Devil?” I muttered to myself, but both men chuckled as I signed my name on the dotted line, followed by Ashton’s. Terry stamped it with a seal, making the contract legal.
