The Devil's Fire

The Devil's Fire

I let myself fall deep into my zone with red in my sight. “Gaetano, do you understand why they say never make a deal with The Devil?” I interrupted his laugh. He looked at me with narrowed eyes as I blew out the cigarette smoke into the night sky. I flicked the bud away and met his gaze, giving him a devilish smirk. “I’m about to show you why.” I drew my guns out at the same time men jumped out from the wooden crates. And a war with fire began.

Leading My Family to Glory

Leading My Family to Glory

Tyr remained silent for a moment before murmuring, “Are ghosts and evil spirits real in this world?” While Tyr was in doubt, he noticed dark clouds suddenly appearing over God Valley. Following that, an enormous devilish face appeared in the sky. It was so large that it obscured both the sky and the sun. The devilish face squashed down from the air as if the hideous devil was about to swallow the entire God Valley. Just then, Tyr noticed a massive talisman emerge from Jim’s side, fly up into the air, and land squarely on the devilish face. Purple flames erupted in the sky while miserable screams reverberated across the island.

Bound To King

Bound To King

But now I hadn’t let him shuffle to the end and now I was going to scatter it all. This third round would be deadly. He smirked as the game started, it was then I noticed his looks. He had dark blue eyes, I was almost lost in them. For a moment I forgot my cards and kept staring at him. Then he smiled. That was what woke me up, and brought me back to the game, I knew that smile belonged only to the devil. The third game ended in a draw, but it wasn’t over because we were both holding on cards each.

Now I Do- Marrying My Fiance

Now I Do- Marrying My Fiance

She yanks her hand from my grip, and leans to my ear, whispering in a tone that even I struggle to capture. "Welcome to this game, and good luck! I swear you'll regret all the humiliations you've put me and my daughter through, bitch!" The ringing of her devilish tone fades in my ear, and like judas the traitor, she kisses my cheek before marching out with a triumphant smirk! The she-Judas! The devil incarnate! A dog in a sheep's clothing! A Game!? What game? And what is it that we are gambling on? "Babe?" I turn to Damian as he speaks, my face all plastered with a coat of confusion. "Are you okay?"

I am loving this story. Hooked! So they already know each other and are in love already, so how will Damian gain and win her heart again? He hasn’t cheated on her, like Leo did. Nelly is already trying to sleep with this one, but he doesn’t want her at all. I’m looking forward to reading this story

Elevator.

Elevator.

I warn him yet again, my hands busy turning me to Picasso with a contour brush to my face re-applying my smeared make up, I threaten him with a smile on my face as I practice the best version of my fake smiles to give to the audience when I leave this bathroom and head back out to the party. It really does feel like making a deal with the devil, the atmosphere becomes quiet and dingy, I can hear a pin drop at this point, the hairs on my arms and neck are as erect as if electric charges had passed through them or something. " Okay okay I hear you, just stop with the mention of death it's too gruesome for me," that is so ironic coming from the Devil himself. I honestly cannot picture the Devil

Death Notice

Death Notice

Seeing that there was only struggle in his eyes, Jack’s cold and low voice sounded again. “It’s almost time. Let me introduce the rules of the game. Today’s game is very simple. As you can see, the device on your head is called the double jaw ripper. It’s an upgraded version of the death mask. It will hook your upper and lower jaw. When the countdown of the timer ends, your mouth will be torn open by it. This is the exact opposite of a beast trap. Let me show you.” Just as he finished speaking, the screen on the television flashed, and an identical machine appeared. The machine was covering a human skull model.

I don’t know how but, I think his game is not going to be nice. Well, can’t judge. “Sure. What game?” I ask. He smirks. “It’s easy.” He states. Suddenly, I feel his hand on my left thigh. My heart begins to jump. He draws closer to me and his hand is moving up. I shudder. He brings his mouth to my ear and whispers, “I’ll have you guess some things.” He moves back a little. I can feel his breath as our gap is small. I look into his eyes.

at first i thought it'll be the casual CEO-fell-in-love-with-his-employee story LOL. but i thought wrong. the storyline and the writing style here are very nice. the author really did a good job in creating the characters here. their background information is well explained and very detailed.

Contract with the Devil

Contract with the Devil

“A favor. That 's it. I don’t have anything in mind, yet. But when I do, I’ll call for you, you’ll answer me. No matter what. Otherwise, the deal is broken and you’ll get back to this shithole.” Mia breathed heavily. A favor? Get out of there? “Are you the Devil?” she asked. She still remembered some of the things her mother had told her. Mia shook her head, avoiding thinking too deeply about her mother. “Who cares? Does it matter?” “It does! I don’t want no deal with the Devil!” “You’re too picky, for someone who is about to become a worker in a brothel. Not only you, but your little doll of a sister.”

Man, 'The Devil's Face' is one of those stories that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page. The main character is this intense, morally gray detective named Vincent Crowe—his name alone gives me chills. He’s got this haunted past, and the way he navigates the twisted case at the heart of the story is just gripping. What I love about Vincent is how flawed he is; he’s not your typical hero. He’s got a temper, makes questionable choices, but his determination to uncover the truth makes him impossible not to root for.

The story really digs into his psyche, especially with all the supernatural elements creeping in. There’s this one scene where he’s staring into a mirror, and his reflection starts changing—pure nightmare fuel, but so well-written. It’s not just about solving a crime; it’s about Vincent confronting his own demons, literally and figuratively. If you’re into dark, character-driven thrillers, this one’s a must-read.
