CHAPTER 3 A very big wolf! 6years later... "Alexandria! Alex! Alex!" She had her mother's, small almond, eyes, the pupil, dark and thin with winter grey pupils. She was a rare beauty.

I was sitting on my bed, my eyes red from worry. I replayed our last conversation again in my head. Her soft voice. Her broken laugh. Something was truly wrong.

But he couldn’t help feeling that the red was following them. He thought he heard a branch snap behind them once,but the rain poured down in such a torrent that it was hard to hear anything else. “I think we should cross here,” Diana said, her teeth clattering. “The terrain isn’t as steep on the other side of the creek.” Holding her hand with a titan grip, he helped her across the creek and up on the opposite bank. When they reached the shelter of the Douglas firs, he pulled her to a stop and watched for any signs of movement in the woods they’d left behind.

Ace said with a charmingly disarming smile on his face. He wasn’t playing fair. Not even with my mother. I felt like hitting him and I had to ball my fists tightly at my side as I plastered a hopefully calm looking smile on my face. “Oh…yes. Nice to meet you, I’m Diana, Karina’s mother. Oh, please come inside…our place is small but…” my mother said as if in a daze.
