Gianna called out with a wide smile as Mason walked into the kitchen. While Gianna had a loud and strong personality - she was at least a foot shorter than the men in her life. Her hair was a lighter shade of blonde than her husbands, the same shade as her sons. Her brown eyes were alway full of warmth and laughter; making her the perfect mother and Luna. She pulled him into a deep hug, unwilling to let him go for a few minutes. Mason smiled at her gently when he noticed her teary eyes when she pulled away. He kissed her forehead fondly and squeezed her again.

On her forehead was a faint mark—a crescent inverted, like a broken moon. Aria’s throat tightened. “Are you—” “Yes,” the woman murmured. “The first Luna.” Aria staggered backward. “You’re supposed to be dead.” The first Luna—Lyria—smiled a sad, brittle smile. “I am. And I am not. We are all things in this place. Memory. Ghost. Afterimage. Warning.” Aria swallowed. “Why am I here?” Lyria drifted closer, bare feet gliding over nothing. “Because the Gate has split. The god wearing your mate’s face is trying to rebirth himself through you. And the true celestial heart—the one buried beneath the world—is waking early.”

" “She gets what she wants if I go voluntarily.” "What about what I desire?" Kane's eyes continued to burn intensely even as his tone softened. "How about the pack? How about us? I couldn't reply, so I swallowed hard. Kane went on, raising his voice, "Freya, you are not some pawns in her game." "You are our future, our Luna. Whatever happens to the group, she wins if you give yourself up. My eyes filled with tears. And she will ruin us all if I don't leave. If I allowed it to occur, what kind of Luna would I be?

Their whiskey is top shelf. “Say, Ian, doesn’t that Luna look an awful lot like the rogue bitch who escaped not too long ago?”. Ian turns in his chair and watches as the brunette beauty obliviously walk past us with her alpha. “Nah, that wolf had no hopes of becoming a luna. She was a dejected, sad little female. That luna is far too sophisticated”. I wasn’t too sure. I myself haven’t had a chance to ‘participate’ with her as Ezekiel used her mostly himself but there is something so familiar about those green eyes.

"You two know each other?" Calhoun stated more than asked. "Funny." "There's nothing funny about this, Alpha Calhoun." Lady Maddie said. "This girl has-" "Be careful," Calhoun warned, his demeanor getting serious. "She's not just any girl but the future Luna of the guardian pack." The lady swallowed what she had to say. "Lady Maddie must be replaced, I don't want my dear to feel uncomfortable. Leave." Calhoun ordered.

"You idiot, she was the Luna of a Pack, something you've been desperately trying to achieve ever since you could walk but keep failing woefully at!" "Alpha!" She gasped. I grabbed her throat and squeezed tight. "If somebody doesn't confess right now, I'll snap her fucking neck!" "Alpha, please forgive us! Luna told her not to interfere but she did and she hit her with a pestle!" I turned to the girl shaking like a lead on the ground. "Luna? Who the fuck is that?" Her lips began trembling and she pointed at the girl scratching my arm and trying to pull away. "Who made you my Luna?"

“If you want me to truly forgive you, then let the wolf live.” Nicholas was appalled. Was his Luna crazy? What is she thinking, defending a rogue? Does she know who this lady is?

After traveling incognito with the Lycans Arystyn finally started to recognize her surroundings. “ I don’t live far from here” Arystyn announced to Jonah the leader of the group. Jonah was the Beta of his pack and was traveling with a band of young Lunas who were going to be mated with members of Jonah’s pack. The Lunas were a big help with Ari and Zander and all took turns holding and cooing over the tiny infants who were seemingly enjoying all the attention. The oldest of the group was Gina who told Arystyn that she had just celebrated her 25th birthday and was set up to be mated to the Alpha’s son Journey and she was hoping she would have a child of her own soon.

“What are you doing here? Where have you been all these while?” Before she can offer a response, a member of the pack, frail and looking like she'd snap if things continued however they were knelt — knelt — beside Diana. “Luna,” she breathed, and was off her feet before I could even piece the meaning of the word together. “Luna,” I repeated, the words gaining meaning in my head. “Luna?” I asked Diana, the woman now gone. “Yes,” she responded, looking at me like I wasn't really there. “Yes, I am the Luna of Dark Moon Pack.”

Luna Alicia asked everyone's opinion. Grandpa Russ whispered something to his wife while Alpha Simon and Luna Alicia looked each other in the eyes. Lyn glanced at the window, blaming herself for not getting close enough to Lauren over the past few days, because if she had, she might have seen clues and signs of Lauren being possessed.
