CURSED HEART

CURSED HEART

And if that ever happened, it could spell doom for us. It was more than enough that Caleb was already on our tail over Lila's eyes. We couldn't afford more people finding out. "Honestly, nothing." She answered truthfully. I couldn't sense any form of nervousness from her so she had to be telling the truth. "And how did you feel when you saw the book?" I asked her. There had to be a reaction of some sort when she was around the book. "Still nothing but I touched it once. I didn't just feel Miguel, I saw." The dread in her eyes when she looked at the book the other time, returned.

The Return Of The Discarded Billionaire Ex-Wife

The Return Of The Discarded Billionaire Ex-Wife

Silas's POV The book was published. Asha and Clara's book. It arrived in the world without the marketing that popular books received because it was not a popular book and they had not tried to make it one. It arrived in academic and policy circles and within those circles it arrived like something that had been needed for a long time.

Beauty & the Alpha

Beauty & the Alpha

“What were you doing in Pleasant Hill? You seemed to be doing just fine staying away.” There was venom in her voice. There was no denying it. But somehow I wasn’t afraid, being equipped with something I knew she would appreciate. I clutched the book in one hand behind my back as I made my way further into the room. I didn’t appreciate seeing her like that, with needles penetrating her skin and almost helplessly laying there as if she wasn’t the most powerful being I knew. I wondered if she knew just how powerful she was. “I came to see you, but you weren’t there and I -”

The Comeback: How I Destroyed the Friend Who Ruined Me

like permanently? @CubsFan101: someone needs to stop this girl. for real. before she hurts someone else. @WindyCityWatcher: i was feeling bad for her earlier. not anymore. she's trash. @SouthSideSally: vincent is the only one who seems to care about evelyn. where was dominic? why wasn't he there? @ChicagoRealTalk: this whole thing is a mess. but scarlett is definitely the villain here.

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

HIS REJECTED GODDESS

"He'll come or he won't. Either way the council happens." "He'll come," she said. I looked at her. "You don't know him," I said. "No," she said. "But I know what a man looks like when he's moving toward something even when he doesn't know he's moving yet." She paused. "He sent the book. He wrote the letter. He's sleeping better." She looked at me sideways. "He's moving." I thought about the library at eleven at night. The exhaustion and the anger and the grief of understanding and the not putting the book down.

In love With My Lycan Stepbrothers

In love With My Lycan Stepbrothers

I stared down at the book in Jason’s hand. A wave of familiarity came over me, followed by confusion. I’ve seen that book before, a long while ago in Philly. It was the one that Jason forbade me not to read, so why was it here now? I didn’t think that it would play a big role in whatever ordeal we were having here, yet the intrigue and curiosity I had wasn’t quenched.

Now You See It, Now You Don't

Now You See It, Now You Don't

The eerie silence stretched on for what felt like an eternity before someone nervously spoke up. "I've seen something like this in a book. If I'm not mistaken, this is a dark magic from Jordale called the Flying Head Demon. It's incredibly evil. It requires the blood of a living being to fuel it. Once perfected, it can make the head fly, crawl on walls, and kill without leaving a trace."

From Rags to Richmond

From Rags to Richmond

It seemed like the room vanished into thin air. Warren shook his head. He already saw too much for the day. There was nothing that could surprise him anymore. Then Warren arrived in the basement of the White family again. He looked around and saw the books from earlier which he couldn't understand. The name of the first book, immediately grabbed his attention. The book was named 'The Legendary King Cole!'

I really liked this book. The author demonstrated good imagination.....right up to the end. That's where you lost me. I'm lost as to why you would allow his childhood sweetheart to live through the final destruction only to kill her when he finds out she is the only one he loved that is still alive.

I think it was quite a nice ending, dark and idk but it was dark and nice. I don't really see how this book can continue, I do hope it does but they shouldn't waste this ending, amazing, thanks to the Author for a good well written poor to rich novel

Club Voyeur Series (4 Books in 1)

Club Voyeur Series (4 Books in 1)

Natalia I was so bored. Daniel had told me not to do any housework but I was sorely tempted to start dinner just to have something to do. I found a book and tried to read like he told me. The book didn't hold my attention, though. My life has been much more interesting lately than some crime novel. My whole life had been boring before I met him. I hadn't realized it while I was living it. After meeting Daniel , it was like I was living in color now, but my previous life had all been black and white.

Matched (Mortal, Book Three)

Matched (Mortal, Book Three)

The Hunters might be scared off, but they might also be smart enough to know that it's just an illusion. I inch towards the edge of the platform, trying to stay low and out of sight. Once we're close enough, I peek over the edge to see where the Silver Hunters are and what they're doing. But I don't see anything. "They're gone," I whisper to Damon and Winter. "The Silver Hunters are gone." "What? Already?" Winter says, surprised. "That's ... unexpected." "It's not unexpected," I correct her quietly. "It's suspicious." Unease winds through me. Getting onto my feet, I creep for the stairs. The moment I see the man a few steps below, it's too late.
