The Mafia's Plaything: His To Ruin

The Mafia's Plaything: His To Ruin

I held back the tears that clogged my eyes. He smiled. “Our love is a cycle of violence and desire. It is not a pure type of love.” His tone was even, his voice composed. “Seriously?” I asked. “Yes. Love is a beautiful thing however, I don't believe in it anymore. Talking of obsession… It's damn real. I can love you today then tomorrow, I may stop loving you but my obsession for you can never come to an end. Obsession is more powerful than… Love.” He spoke with a calm, measured tone while he stared into my eyes.

They Want Her

They Want Her

"When she left, I already learned my lesson. I shall never take her by force even if she's also in love with us." That's what he thought, too. Loving and being obsessed are two different things. But sadly, they're both in love and obsessed. Although they're trying to reign themselves, afraid for the history to repeat itself and waste another bunch of years being apart from her. They were obsessed back then. They didn't think of the consequences of taking her by force. They didn't think what might happen if such acts would bring her trauma.

After Divorce, My Ex-husband Begs

After Divorce, My Ex-husband Begs

Because love makes a person blind. Loving is a ruthless gamble and once you fall you could only pay for the compensation your whole life. For once, I understand that there is only a thin film between love and obsession and I am afraid that I have long been dawdling in between. And I, don’t want to wallow in regret.

SATOU, D.
I feel like I was cheating bro. But the srory itself is good. Like if i was the character? Would i? The story itself depicts. So good and so excited. Note: I just read 2 chapters. 9 for the characters. 8 for the scene. Overall, almost 10!

Unexpected Bride For Him

Unexpected Bride For Him

His expression didn't read agitation like mine did. "That girl is just crazy." He sighed, facing his laptop and continuing whatever work he was doing on it. "You know, she came to the office earlier today claiming to want to have me and stories like that." He chuckled a little. "She's so adamant on that. Her love is frustrating." "Love?" I dropped my phone on the bed. "Don, this isn't love, this is obsession, don't you get?" He stared at me with a raised brow. "Obsession, huh? I've never actually seen it that way but now that you've pointed it out, I guess you're right. It is obsession."

His obsession

His obsession

In his head, I was like him — no-nonsense, efficient, emotionally economical. It would be convenient for me too. Safe. Predictable. Stable. But where did love fit into all this? He wasn't a man with time or energy for emotions. He had made that very clear. He'd even said it himself — *if we fall in love, we'll go with the flow.* *If.* As if love was some optional feature you might accidentally unlock. And realistically? He wasn't going to fall for me. Men like him didn't fall — they calculated.

His Obsession

"So now its my turn. I am not here just for the cake. So come on I wanna enjoy a show too." "Okay as You wish..!!" I never got too open with anyone but he was so different. I never let my gurads down in front of anyone but he was making me feel strange. I couldn't figure out my feelings then but I just articulate that it was just an attraction. He was actually too sweet and the gesture of cake and Vine on my Dad's birthday was a whole new level!! I didn't realize at that time that this attraction is going to be an addiction and obsession soon. I never imagined that I would fall for someone so easily....

Obsession of the Ex-husband

Obsession of the Ex-husband

" Joey couldn't answer him. Indeed, why was that? However, she had heard a saying before. "Parental love is deep, but the water under the eaves does not flow backward." Old people used this phrase to describe a parent's love for their child, meaning a parent's love for their child was always deeper than the child's love for the parent. Joey looked at Emily and questioned herself in her heart if this was really the case. "Don't overthink it. I was just expressing my confusion." Zachary stood up. "I'm not overthinking it," Joey said calmly.

Seems like an okay story…. But I absolutely hate it when the synopsis tells you the story will be about one thing and the story itself is about something completely different. I was really hoping for the story reflected in the overview, and 300 chapters in… it isn’t.

I really like this book, but I'm feeling sorry for Zachary. I wished they would soften Joey's personality up. She comes off cold. The author needs to bring them together soon and form an alliance and wrap this book up.
