Difference Between Onyx And Obsidian Novels & Stories

His hand was on my wrist instantly pulling it up, my hair blowing off my shoulder from the speed of his actions as he looked down at my perfectly intact hand. His eyes were pure black, I wasn't dealing with Nixon anymore as Onyx shoved me against the wall by my face, frantic as he pulled my hand up to inspect it himself and then pressed the back of it against his cheek once he was satisfied. He slid his hand up my forearm until it reached his mark; a light purr rattled through him as he blinked, bringing Nixon's never-ending light eyes back. They were so light it seemed impossible, like the palest form of citrine that you could see right through, and yet you'd never reach the bottom. “What

Jace said his voice was short and snappy. Nora sighed, opening the bag and then grabbing the box. She paused a minute trying to find a way out of opening it. Jace made another noise as she was just staring at the black box. She sighed and opened the box. Inside the box layed a small black onyx necklace. It was a simple square onyx stone that hung on a silver chain and was very beautiful. “What? I can't take this. Why would you- “Black onyx can disguise hunters from wolves. Put it on.” Jace ordered as he cut her off.

I said with relief. “What way have you found?” I added. “Obsidian. We need black obsidian,” He answered and paused. He then went further to explain the process of Lillian and another Elder merging their powers to do the spell, when the Obsidian is obtained. The plan sounded promising but there was only one problem. “That is a great plan and I'm grateful for your effort. But black obsidian can only be found in Moon Stone pack. And by the name of the pack, you should already know that it is Alpha William’s pack,” I pointed out and heard Maeve’s gasp in the background.

Resonant Liquidation. The obsidian floor beneath the First Omega didn't just crack; it surrendered. The black stone turned a brilliant, molten orange in a circular radius of five feet. The basalt lost its mass, becoming a churning pool of geothermic energy. The First Omega’s boots—the ones that had never left a mark on the snow—suddenly sank.

It’s to be expected, I guess, given she’s never truly had a childhood. We walk into what looks like a jewellery store, but it doesn’t look like an overly expensive one. Sasha walks towards the counter to speak to the owner while I browse. There were beautiful timepieces on display, and I contemplated buying one for Michael to say thank you for everything until one particular timepiece caught my attention. It was jet black, and the label said it was made from obsidian ore, with silver and gunmetal inlays. But that wasn’t what caught my attention; it was the engraving on the edge of the face:

“And this... Obsidian is rarely used without purpose. It’s a stone of protection, but also one of mirrors. It reflects and reveals.” “Reveals what?” I asked, leaning forward. Tony shook his head. “That depends on the intent of whoever made it. These objects are connected, no doubt. But their origin... I can’t tell you much. The energy is foreign to me. If it were wolf made, I’d know about it.” He sighed, rubbing his temple. Disappointment settled in my chest, but I nodded. “Thanks, Elder Tony. I was hoping you’d recognize something.” His gaze lingered on me, sharp and knowing. “Be careful, Alpha. These gifts! If you can even call them, that carry intent. And intent is rarely neutral.”

What material could withstand the heat? Dark circles formed under her eyes. She scoured book after book until, at last, she found it–onyxite. Once refined, onyxite was like iron and jade, both sturdy and heat-resistant. Excited by the discovery, she flipped the page. Her smile froze. The book stated that all known onyxite mines had been depleted a century ago. Frustration surged through her. Had she known earlier, she never would have used that weapon design to gain favor. She had placed too much faith in Jane's abilities.

He had never imagined that a mausoleum could be such a beautiful and calm place. It looked like a small house with no windows but a gold-plated door. It was made of a black, shiny stone he didn't recognize. He touched it, and it was cold, smooth and polished like a mirror. - It's obsidian. Some people say that when we stare into an obsidian mirror, we sometimes see what we don't want to see. Sometimes we see our future, other times our past.
