What Does Onyx Mean As A Name Novels & Stories

My mates were the same. “Well I think our daughter should be named Angelite Aquamarine Heartsfire,” I say. I wince at the happy screech my mom made and then we all laughed. One of my boys started to cry in irritation. My mom grabbed Angelite from my arms as Onyx brought me our son and laid him in my arms. His little hair was pure black with light blond and brown streaks. He had one white eye and one blue eye. “Well I think you should just come up with the names, we can help if you need it. In our kingdom, Mothers tend to name the children because they have a stronger bond with them,” Onyx told me as he went to get another crying baby.

Alistair and I exchange looks because we’ve been avoiding this, avoiding the intimacy that comes with naming something, the attachment. “What do you think we should call it?” I ask, deflecting. The children consider this with that synchronized head-tilt they do. “Nyx,” Dante says. “It means night. Because it came from darkness but is trying to become light.” “Or trying to pull us all into darkness,” Donald mutters from where he’s monitoring the baby with yet another diagnostic spell. But the name fits somehow, this creature that’s both shadow and substance, ending and beginning. “Nyx,” I repeat, testing it. The baby coos in response and reaches for me with tiny hands. “Alright. Nyx it is.”

It looked huge and more like a fig tree but that was not the only shocking thing that occurred to Maya. "The Onyx. It's gone." Roderigo's hands trembled with this realization and she wondered why. "Onyx? What's an Onyx?" "It's something I worked years and eons digging up from the crust of the earth. A very valuable object that no living being on the surface of the earth has ever come across. It is as beautiful as paradise but I assure you, Maya, with this treasure, all our dreams will come true. And trust me, we may even survive this coming disaster."

As he walked closer to where she sat, October could feel her heart racing. "What are you doing here, Onyx!?" Alistair roared, pulling October roughly to her feet. "No need to be hostile, brother." Onyx got to his feet."I was just enjoying the company of miss Rose." He spread his hand. "She is as beautiful as I remember and quite intelligent." October pulled away from Alistair. “My name is October, not Rose." Onyx laughed, "my apologises. Leave it to my brother not to tell you--"

The sound of footsteps echoed in Orion’s ears. He had been mulling over the documents since the morning. He didn’t feel tired. That feeling had sailed centuries ago. He had stopped being assailed with emotions long ago. Sometimes he would ponder if there was any meaning in continuing to walk this earth. He had changed his name more times than he even cared to remember. Only his original given name had remained the same, just that it had become his middle name. Orion. It meant ‘Rising in the sky; Dawning’.

"It's ok, they're family anyway and they'll keep the secret better than you. Eli, Lua. I have to know the name. You know how I am with names. I'm obsessed. Whats my little nephew's name? Elias and I look at each other and smile. He carefully takes baby from Juno then while supporting his neck and bottom, holds him up Lion King style. "We would like to introduce Zenon Asher Cruz Onyx! Zenon means peace, and we both loved it the second we heard it. He has a double middle name after our fathers. We're nicknaming him Zenny." "OH I love love love it! Little Zenon. Zenny. What a perfect name! And the meaning! Great job you guys. A perfect name for a perfect little boy!"

“You’ll have your big brother, Nox, keeping you safe when I am unable to.” I perk up at the name. “Nox? Why that name?” He grins and kisses the top of his son’s head and smiles. “It means night, or darkness and I wanted to honor the Goddess for blessing me with the perfect family,” he says, then places a kiss on the side of my head. Nox and Reyvenne - yip, we’re edgy parents now.

He gazed at her luscious pink lips in a daze. Brooklyn laughed, shaking her head. “Are you crazy? It’s Brycen, derived from both our names. The other one is Nikson, meaning son of Nik,” she explained, staring at him for his reaction. “Ah, I see. Nice names, quite unique I must say. I like them,” appreciated Nikolas as a sense of relief washed over Brooklyn. At least he liked the names of his sons! “Thank you for bringing them into the world. I don’t have words to describe how overwhelmed and wonderful I am feeling right now,” said Nikolas, gazing into her eyes as he stroked his babies softly on their heads. Brooklyn stared at his reaction to them with awe. She had never imagined that he woul

“Hurry up human. You had your time with our mate, now it’s my time.” “Ok Onyx, but remember, we have to get back, so no funny business.” “Whatever.” Onyx says and pushes his way to the front. He is such an impatient wolf. “I heard what you were thinking human” I quickly shift, and Onyx walks up to Tamaska in all his midnight black glory. Onyx is taller than Tamaska, but only by a little. They are a perfect match. Onyx looks like the night sky and Tamaska looks like the moon itself shining in the night sky.

He had a few names in mind. “Chantal wanted me to keep the name.” “I like the name Gianni. I looked it up. It means Blessing.” Harlan caressed the baby’s little hand. “I was thinking that he should always be reminded that he is a blessing.” Cassandra and Winston were touched by his words. Their son really considered it well. “I like that name as well..although, the name Wyatt is actually good too. It means brave or strong. I looked it up. It said that it inspires joyfulness, discipline and spirituality.” Cassandra shared her thoughts.
