“Yes, I suppose so,” I muttered.
“You do believe that you and I are mates, yes?” he ducked his head to meet my eyes.
Mutely, I nodded.
“You may have your doubts about me, and my intentions, but you believe our bond is real?”
I nodded again.
“You know Dierdra is a liar, and yet you let her words get to your head,” Gideon frowned, “It seems to me like there’s something else going on here. She played you, but she also knew you would be susceptible to it. Why is that?”
