Squeezing my eyes shut, I covered my ears, shaking my head. Audras screamed pierced through my covered ears. My eyes shot open. A disgusting creature stood before me, taking the place of Dela, it's back facing me. It was covered in spikes. Puss-filled sacks covered its body. It’s armed long and boney. Its claws crusted with blood. The smell of rotting flesh filled the air and a sour taste settled on my tongue. Its hair was patchy and oily. Its skin grey.

And then, the monsters breached the mist. They were horrifying. They were massive, grey-skinned abominations, their muscles bulging with sickening, unnatural proportions. Their chaotic, glowing purple eyes burned with mindless, explosive rage. To Mwajuma, they were the ultimate manifestation of the toxic, violent male spirit—beasts that existed only to destroy the beauty of the world.

People are scrambling and running towards the forest to hide. I zoom in on what everyone is frightened of and it makes me want to vomit. There are these weird looking creatures that appear to have various features from a bird, feline, bear and wolf. Maybe human too? There eyes are completely black. Some have three arms or two heads and their flesh smells as though it is rotting. Whatever they are I don’t think they are truly alive. “Kale!” “On it Katerina, get Cedar and Joy out of here!”

I have already come thus far; I am not going to give up before I have even started. And with every road we pass on the side, we find people running scared for their lives. If we thought that all the humans have taken to the safety of their home, we have now just been proven wrong. But it is not so much the idea of humans running down the streets, but what is running behind them for god; I have never in my life seen such hideous creatures. But it is not just one kind, there are so many different ones that are getting the pleasure of the satisfaction of the way they are sending the mortals down the streets screaming.

No lips, no eyes or ears, just an unformed black mass that might supposed to represent a face. But as the figure gets closer, she can visualize human features underneath the jelly-like layer. Indra shudders when she senses that the creature radiates both evil and despair. The smell of sulfur, ash and decomposition fills her nostrils and she pushes her back harder against the tree trunk to escape the overpowering stench. The intense sensations radiated by the black figure make her slightly nauseous, as if they have somehow managed to crawl under her skin. Blotted out by the only light behind it, this weird black silhouette comes at me with hands and face, and I have to raise my arms to fend it off. It stinks. Its breath fanning my face and trying to pin me down as I fight back, but it's stronger, faster, and as adrenaline takes over and I wrestle to try and fight it, stop its face getting near mine, I squeal out. It has both my arms caught up with its, pushing down on me, legs sliding over mine to try and hold me still, and I muster everything in me to try and throw it off, squirming, writhing, having to keep moving my head as it seems to try and bite me. ARES' POV I tore the head clean off another beast, black blood splattering my fur like ink spilled on parchment. The stench was unbearable—rotting flesh, dark magic, and something else. Something fouler. Whoever made these abominations had to be a sick, twisted bastard. Their creation wasn’t just flawed—it was insulting. These things were no match for an ordinary Alpha, let alone me. But the question that haunted me more than their creation was how they got in.
