Dishonored 2 Emily Kaldwin Novels & Stories

She deserved my restraint as much as my remorse. Instead, I stepped back, swallowing the ache in my throat. “There’s something else you should know.” Her brow furrowed. “What?” “The reason they called you a murderer. The reason the elders used to keep you chained in guilt.” I turned toward my desk, sliding open a drawer. “I had Dan track every surviving witness from that night. And we found one.” Her breath caught. “You mean—?” I placed a folder on the table between us. The top photo showed a pale young woman with scarred arms and terrified eyes. “Princess Emily is alive.”

They had been brought together by fate, by the actions of a woman evil enough to destroy multiple families for money. Emily Caldwell had created her own nemesis when she murdered Alexander's parents. She had sealed her own doom when she threw Mona away like garbage. And now, fifteen years after she thought she had eliminated all threats to her stolen empire, Emily was about to discover that her victims had found each other. The final battle was coming. And this time, Emily Caldwell would face opponents who knew exactly who she was and what she had done. Opponents who had spent years preparing for this moment. Opponents who would not stop until justice was finally served.

Alpha Rudolf was more of an asshole with the series of manipulations that makes a lot of people think she has no hands in all that's happening. “What? You've got the audacity to talk back to me?” Emily's mom shouted, she was drunk with hatred and wanted her daughter back. “I'll send my husband and his troops to fight a war against you.” “Fine!” Calvin's tone was cool but it was sarcastic. “Before you think of asking your husband to come after me, go study Geography. You will know what I mean.” The phone slipped off Emily's hand crashing to the floor, she sank to her knees.

They had only just made amends; she didn't want to argue again. Hearing Calvin's question, Nadila smiled and replied, "She went with Rama." Emily was startled, her eyes widening. She tried to think and hide her nervousness, finding the right answer to avoid further conflict. How could Emily's mother know that Rama was the one who had accompanied her to Madiun? "Rama?" Calvin repeated, furrowing his brow. As far as he knew, Emily had never mentioned the name Rama to him. Emily closed her eyes, preparing herself to hear her mother's continuation of the story. However, she was mistaken. It was not her mother who revealed her past but her own older brother, Edwin, who spoke the next sentence.

A distinct click followed - the lock. Emily remained where she was, napkins still clutched in her hand, her expression changing the moment the bathroom door shut. The spill had not been an accident. It had been calculated. From the intel she had been given, the agency had long suspected that the so-called Robin Hood thief was not entirely human. She needed to see with her own eyes whether the wound was still there - or whether Damien Hayes was something far more dangerous than a wealthy businessman. Inside the bathroom, Damien braced both hands against the sink, his head lowered for a moment as he steadied his breathing.

“A woman. Blonde. Said she’d pay double if it looked like a carjacking. Said no one would question it after… after what happened on the yacht.” I felt something violent crack beneath my ribs. Slowly. Quietly. Emily. Of course. I lowered the gun for half a second, just to see the flicker of hope in his eyes. Then drove a boot into his knee. He went down with a scream. “I asked for a name,” I said, stepping forward. “Say it.” “Emily,” he gasped. “Godfrey. Emily Godfrey!” “That’s all I needed.” He tried to scramble away. Didn’t make it two steps before another shot went into his other leg.

Emilia stares at me, eyes wide, shocked more than hurt. Then the screen appears. [TASK COMPLETED ] The screen flashes into existence right in front of me, bright and unapologetic. Haven’t they all. Esmeralda lolls her head back in the chair, and looks down through hooded eyes. “Hit me all you want. I’m not giving you what you want .” The bald chick with an AK whacks her again with the butt of the gun, and Esmeralda jolts in the chair. She runs her tongue over her teeth – fucker, she might’ve loosened one. “Hey,” the head guy points. “Don’t kill her, we still need for something important, get that in your head.”
