"They can't age farther than eighteen until they find their mates. And if they aren't around their mates as children than they age fast until their eighteenth birthday." I felt as if someone threw me a punch as everything soaked in. My babies might have to be immortal unless they found their mates. Watch us all die of old age. Then other loved ones. A sob left me lips once more as I clutched onto Jackson once more.

The woman steps closer and gently examines Figaro’s tail. “Oh, you’ve got yourself a young one. Only about fifty to seventy years old,” the healer explains. “You can tell by the markings on the tail. The older they are, the darker the spots get. The elders have tails that turn completely black, and the true long-livers even develop streaks of grey.” Holy hell. He’s like three times older than me! Calling him “little one” suddenly feels… not very appropriate. Although by kizibara standards, he is basically a teenager.

Daisy nodded slowly. "Yes, I visited the doctor this morning. The doctor said something very simple, that I am old." she said with a tired smile. Innara's expression softened with sympathy. "Age is not an illness." she said quietly. "No. But sometimes it becomes a limitation." Daisy replied gently. Across the room Aria was sitting cross-legged again, feeding one of the cookies to her stuffed rabbit while explaining something very important about dragons and princesses. Daisy watched her for a moment with affection.

He imagined that he was more than what he was doing at the moment, and this decided to get his own lab. Leonard had a project that he had been planning and researching about for some time and was so eager to get on it once he was able to fully equip his lab and get it’s license, he had stumbled upon the most impossible substance during his experiments. He called the substance deceleron, it was able to really slow down the aging process so much that it made the body age about 1 years in every 10 years and made the individual look way younger. He had tested it on his puppy at that time and it remained like that.

She would be in her early fifties, but her family aged slower than most witches. In general, witches had extended lifespans. Jay suddenly asked sorrowfully. Angeline said, “Of course, I wouldn’t. You’ll be an elegant and funny older man when you’re old. Look at Grandma Boye, she has a light temperament. She looks 60 even though she’s 80 years old. Your family is blessed with genes that freezes your appearance in time.” Jay replied, “Angeline, I don’t want to grow old.” Angeline smiled and asked, “Why not?” Jay grew silent. There was a hint of worry from his darkened pupils.

Edith said, laughing with her right palm over her mouth. “WHAT?!! SIXTY?” Mary exclaimed. “Is something the matter?” Edith asked. “Well, it's just that you look at most 30 or 25 years old. You werewolves really age far slower than humans, don't you?” Mary said with a baffled expression on her face. “Well, my special werewolf ability contributes greatly to my slow aging. So I age far slower than other werewolves too,” Edith replied. “What werewolf ability is that?” Mary asked.

Auðr shrugged. “So, you have business and psychology degrees?” I asked. “Um, yeah. But I’m also over a hundred years old. I get bored. I love playing, but I need to take a break occasionally because people will think it’s weird that I don’t age.” He said. “People are already starting to spread gossip about Immortal Eclipse. We’ve been a band for twenty years, but the only one who has aged is Léonel. It’s something people notice. Sure, they are jumping to immortal conclusions but are talking shit like plastic surgery and yadda.” He sighed.

It drives me insane and I know I will never be able to get enough of Roxy not in this lifetime or the next. Thankfully, being shifters and part wolf, we have the gift of long lives. Some have lived to around one hundred and fifty years old. Our aging process is also slower not by much. Even my own father who is in his late forties now does not show much sign of aging. His skin is still without wrinkles, a few crinkles around his eyes and that is about it. He doesn’t even have hardly any gray in his hair. “I want you to unravel for me, Blake. I am ready too, come with me please,” she begs with that sweet as an angel voice she has when she isn’t being the snarky Roxy I know lurks inside.

This was especially true if they had been living in a particular place for majority of their lives. Generally, werewolves lived longer and took more time to age. A ninety year old werewolf could easily pass for a sixty five year old human. When werewolves were younger, it was easier to lie about their ages. Daykan was twenty eight years old but no one would raise brows if he said that he was around twenty two. But after a considerable number of years, he couldn’t just keep rolling into town and no one would notice that he hadn’t quite aged as fast as the rest of them.
