Just more proof that Noah was a rich kid through and through. I snorted, reaching for the last book on the bottom shelf. It was placed weirdly from sight and it seemed to be wrapped with brown paper. Curiosity got the better of me and I ripped the paper away, wanting to see what book it was. Probably some first-edition Charles Dickens. But when I turned it over to look at the cover, my eyes widened. Two shirtless hunks tangled up together stared back at me from the cover. It could have as well been a cover for gay p**n.

Others were modern thrillers and contemporary fiction, their glossy jackets still vibrant. But then she came to a section that felt...different. These books weren’t stacked like the others. They were nestled into the shelves like treasures, rich, cracked leather covers, some with gold foiling so worn it was barely legible. The book has a black leather cover and on the center of the cover, there is a glass bulging bubble that's filled with some kind of red liquid. Please don't be blood. I bend to pick up the book and stumble back a bit. It's heavy and I lug it into the room kicking the door shut with the back of my heel before moving to sit down on my bed. "Who left you at my door." Most of the covers were just black with huge fonts on the front covers in a language l didn't understand. I screwed up my nose as l looked further down in to the shelves. As l took a thin book from the last shelf , l noticed the difference in it from all the books. While most of the books had grey and yellow pages and we're in fragile condition , this book was a paperback with white pages untouched. It looked brand new and in English.
