Divergent Ending Book Novels & Stories

Thank you very much for all the support you have given me. We are finally ending the journey of Christopher and Dante here. I decided to end it with this cliffhanger that alludes to Tate’s love story. I gave you a sneak peek in the epilogue of Tate’s story. Now, I had a change of editors, so I decided to end this book and then wait to have a discussion with my new editor before starting Tate, Tim’s, and Pierre’s relationship, but I’ll be starting something new until then. I hope you support this new couple like you did Dante and Christopher.

I was sitting in my living room writing up Max’s story when this alternate ending came to me and got me excited. The following chapters were going to be part of his book, but I decided you need to be rewarded for reading all the way to the end of Clara’s story. I hope you enjoy this alternate ending. -=-

“My first book is completed as far as I am concerned.” “Not to the fans. It all kept everyone hanging. Did they meet again? Did Aliana and Winston finally get back in each other arms? What is Winston’s side of the story? Is he really a cold hearted man that just left without a good reason?” “Let your imagination run wide and assume whatever ending you deem right. Personally that book for me is already finished. I can’t think of an alternate ending to it. It’s just over, some things are just better off not being said or for this matter written.” I explained firmly.

"It's a trophy. Wear it." Cale looked at the book again. "Elion?" "Yeah?" "If this is fiction... does that mean we can change the ending?" "The book is printed, Cale. We can't change it. It's ink." "No. I mean... our ending. The real one." Elion looked at him. "We are changing it every day," Elion said. "In the book," Cale said, "it ends on the deck. With the sunset. With the promise." "Yeah."

Holding the tie, I closed my eyes and tiptoed. Either the fate played wicked keeping them apart or played virtuous bringing them together. It played until their souls chased each other. I could see the glow of my laptop, the half-eaten bag of Doritos, and the frozen faces of Dani and Lila on the screen. “This is the end of the book, Iris,” a voice boomed—the Author’s voice, sharp and impatient. “You’ve broken the narrative. I’m hitting the reset button. You can come back to your world, and they can go back to being ink. It’s cleaner this way.” I looked at my hands. They were still glowing with that jagged white light. I could feel Kieran’s heart beating against my palm, and Rowan’s steady breath on the back of my neck. Even across dimensions, the choices we made were holding on.

My eyes snapped open to Charles's gaze, dripping with feigned emotion. I shoved him away, taking in deep breaths, unable to mask my revulsion. Unprepared, Charles staggered back. His eyes, a blend of skepticism and concern, probed me. "I came back right after the party ended and found you trapped in a nightmare, looking furious. Who's gotten under your skin?" I regained my composure, realizing dawn had broken. "I watched a movie last night," I murmured, "about a husband, a childhood friend, who betrays his wife. After more than twenty years together, he finally shows his true face. It was pretty awful."

"We have discovered a sample of the poison!" They all flinched in shock. "What?" Adonis stammers with wide eye. _ Just to keep you all on notice, this book is coming to an end soon, when I mean soon I meant pretty soon like two chapters before the end. It was over for me. .... Months and days had passed since the Long War had ended. I wandered the cities of the Empire, searching solace in drink, in women and in food. Money was plentiful. The war had made sure of that. My brothers had both made investments and I was their sole collector. So I did exactly that, investing and binging, enjoying life as I drowned the sorrows of my memories. Then I met him, he was a strange man. Boisterous, glutonnous and too lecherous for my hypocrisy to tolerate.
