Even though I could never return to my home town, my family would know that I survived.
Even as I wiped the earthy smelling goop from my body, I thought of those who still remained within Castle Mist. As horrible as it sounds, I hoped Abel never found his way out. Goosebumps sprouted across my skin as I pictured his face in my mind; those milky eyes, and thick white liquid that seemed to drip from his wounds. That smile, a smile that cracked his lips in two. A smile of madness and hunger.
“Here you go, darling.” The Doctor stepped back into the room, his back turned as he closed the door with a gentle click.
