CHAPTER 13: FUCK HIM!

REAH'S POV 

Luna Bella walked toward me and took my hand in hers. "My dear, Are you okay?" She asked gently. 

I lowered my eyes, more tears rolling down as I tried to explain what had happened. What was the use of keeping everything in when there was someone in front of me who was ready to help and could probably do something?

"I want to work, I need to resume my part-time job but Alpha Xavier won't let me. Instead, he..." I stopped, what did he do? I had no idea what to call what he did to me. 

All he did was say something in my head and I suddenly felt like he had tied me to my fears. How was I supposed to say that to his mother? It was weird even to my ears. 

Luna Bella's eyes darkened as she turned to look at Alpha Xavier, who was standing by the side, not saying anything. "What is the meaning of this? You just got married yesterday and you are already making her cry? Have you forgotten that she is pregnant? She shouldn't be stressed at all and you know this!" She yelled at him. 

Alpha Xavier shook his head, "I know and that's why I told her not to work. As a Luna, she mustn't be seen working in a supermarket." He explained. 

Luna Bella frowned, she turned to look at me again and sighed. She took my hand and led me toward a couch where she sat and made me face her "Though he might have said it wrongly, he is right. As a Luna, you can't be seen working as a sales girl, Okay?" She stopped as her eyes lit up. She suddenly grabbed my hands again and looked into my eyes, "Do you want to work in a bigger place? The earnings will be 100 times higher than the payment you get at the Supermarket and you won't even have to stress yourself at all. Are you interested?" She questioned. 

Hearing her words, my eyes lit up and I was immediately interested. I did not even think about it before I quickly nodded my head and smiled "Yes, I want to. I'm interested," I told her and she smiled excitedly. 

Luna Bella quickly stood up and walked away from me. She only stopped when she got to Alpha Xavier. "You don't want her to continue working there, right?" She asked. 

Alpha Xavier frowned slightly, he seemed to find something wrong with his mother's attitude but he still nodded his head, "If you hadn't forced me to marry her, I wouldn't have cared about her job at all but now that we are married, she sure can't work in that filthy place," His words were as brutal as ever and his tone was harsh too. 

I rolled my eyes secretly and looked away. 

"I don't care about that. What matters is she is your woman right now and that's all. I heard your Beta talking to someone on the phone yesterday that you need a Secretary, why don't you hire her as your Secretary then? She is intelligent and she is smart too." She said and my eyes widened. 

I turned to face them at the speed of light and I even stood up from my seat. I immediately shook my head and waved my hands "That's not necessary at all." I immediately told them. 

I would rather stay at home all day without working than work in his office... No! I wouldn't want to stay by his side all day long!

Alpha Xavier seemed very shocked too. He was about to say something but when he heard me, he turned to face me and a smirk formed on his face. He slowly nodded his head, his eyes not leaving mine, "That sounds good. She should start today," He said and my eyes widened. 

For some reason, I felt like the reason he agreed was because I rejected the idea. He wanted to me in his company not because he wanted to but because he knew I did not want it either!

How could he be so spiteful?

Luna Bella did not seem to notice anything as she smiled brightly "That's great, then. What do you think, Reah? When would you like to start?" She asked. 

I swallowed and cursed inwardly. What the heck was wrong with these people? 

"I can only start tomorrow because I still have to see my boss and let him know that I won't be coming back again..." I stopped, hiding the disapproval in my eyes. "I will have to still go there today to inform him," I concluded. 

Luna Bella immediately nodded and agreed with me. "That's okay," 

Alpha Xavier shrugged. "Not my business. Just return early." He said and walked closer to me. When he was right in front of me, he bent to look into my eyes, "I like my toy in bed before I get in every night," 

Chills travelled through my back and I bit my tongue to stop the sudden anger that was slowly building up. I walked past him and bowed slightly to Luna Bella, "I will leave now," I said and walked out of the house. 

Fuck him!

Fuck that damn Alpha!

I boarded a cab which took me down to the supermarket and on getting there, I saw Joyce standing in front of the Supermarket. The moment she saw me, she rushed over to me and grabbed my hand "Where have you been? I called you throughout yesterday but you refused to answer your phone!" She cried as she checked me, "Are you okay?" Joyce looked incredibly worried. 

"I was kidnapped," I replied and her eyes widened. 

I explained everything to Joyce, omitting the part of my marriage for now and the part of my pregnancy as I knew the news wasn't something I could reveal while standing in front of a supermarket. 

"Something happened yesterday, too," Joyce mumbled, tears rolling down her eyes.
