COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS
“She’s with the Board—in the New Project file. If you want her, you’ll have to break into Board headquarters. No character’s ever survived that.”
Julian stared at the erasing world, then at the locket. Deep inside, he could feel the last spark of Maya’s logic—cold but determined.
“I spent sixty chapters being the one who always needed saving,” he said, voice turning hard. He wasn’t the ghost now—he was the hero. “Now I’m the Doctor.”
He dove into the green Drafts folder just as the white glow hit the street.
Everything changed. Julian landed in a place of pure white, silent and empty. No books, no lemon trees—just a long glass wall.
