I felt a lump in my throat and all I could do was mouth the word 'thank you'.
"I'm not doing this for you," Fiona retorted. "It's because of the innocent pup."
"What do you mean, Fiona? Tiana can't have the baby," Izaak said in a more shell-shocked state than I was. "It would ruin everything," he continued. "It would ruin us."
Us? Is Izaak being serious right now? So Fiona is all that matters now, and I mean absolutely nothing?
"Not if we handle things properly," Fiona said firmly, not backing down. "The child is innocent in all this," she continued. "It doesn't have to be as bad as you think, we can co-parent with Tiana."
