Does It Hurt Book Review Novels & Stories

Please take the warning seriously, this story is not about your everyday romance. This is book is a story about two people who have gone through hell and suffered unimaginable pain, especially the female character who had been subject to humn trfcing and has painful past. And if you don't like sensitive subjects this may not be good book to read for you. With sexual violence and abuse triggers, it is for above 18 and especially for the readers who think that they can handle such a story.

The book said. I placed my trembling hand on the glowing pages of the Book of Shadows and a searing pain shot through my fingers like a bolt of lightning. It was as if my hand had been engulfed in flames, the intensity of the sensation causing me to cry out in agony. "Ahhhh!" I yelped, my voice echoing through the cottage as I tried to jerk my hand away from the book's surface. But to my horror, the pain only intensified, as though invisible chains were holding me in place, trapping me in a vortex of excruciating torment.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone.” The book offers no comfort. I close it gently this time and set it on the desk, as far from me as possible without throwing it out the window. I swing my legs off the bed and rub my arms, trying to chase away the cold creeping into my bones. “I’ll leave,” I decide quietly. “Before it gets worse.” The words feel final. Heavy. Real. I start to stand and then I feel it. A shift. Not inside me. Outside. The hairs on my arms rise. My heart stutters.
