The dog appeared at the brink of death as it lay there in a coma, breathing weakly. Rex sat paralyzed to one side as if he had lost the whole world. Hilda, too, couldn't accept it. How can a healthy dog turn out this way? The atmosphere was gloomy all the way to Africa. Rex kept staring at Kater without eating nor drinking. Nathan had to persuade him for a long time before he would drink some milk. Hilda glanced at Kater and Rex, then took out her phone and checked the news about Taadi City. Taadi City was in turmoil. Diana, an A list celebrity, had died under suspicious circumstances, while Salem came out to place all the blame on Connie.

Gary said grimly, "Holly called me this afternoon and told me she was going to die. She wanted us to have one last meal with her." He looked at Eugene. "Did she tell any of you that?" Eugene looked diffident. Everything he'd told me that morning were lies—there wasn't any auction, nor did they have to go anywhere with Gary. It was only from their conversation that I learned they'd all been out together to celebrate Phoebe's cat's birthday. It turned out I couldn't even compare to a cat. I rubbed my chest, feeling bitter. It was weird. Why was I still feeling these things when I was dead?

“It’s a wolf pup.” My heart squeezed as I stared down at the small dog. It couldn’t have been more than a few weeks old. “Is it…dead?” I choked on the last word. I never was one to handle death well, even if it was just an animal. Not since my mom died. Zak leaned his head forward to listen for breathing. “Barely.” He said, but his tone said there was no hope.

And just like that, I was alone again. Cooper still seemed a bit freaked out by me as well, but it was understandable. Especially, now that I know I’m dead. I wonder if he can tell (smell?) that I’m dead. Do I stink? God, I hope I don’t smell dead. I’ve always heard that dogs can sense things. I’m hoping it is some sixth doggie sense and not one of the primary five giving me away. I’ll just have to keep spoiling him until he loved me again. I can do that! I gave him a bone and patted him on the head.

Regular people would not have been able to survive when the five dogs attacked together. Unfortunately, they had met Thomas, so they were destined to become… dead dogs! Dogs moved more speedily than humans. The first dog rushed toward Thomas like lightning. It jumped up and attempted to bite Thomas’ neck. If the dog bit his neck with its big mouth, he would die without a doubt!

He barks, and my body freezes in a flash. Death is finally in front of me.

The woman looked at dog rolling down on the floor, "What happened to you?" "Wooof." The dog cried out miserably as he laid on the floor, blood gushing out from its mouth. Tang Li was stunned as she looked at the dessert plate before glancing at the dog who was not making any movement. Did it die? She did not want to believe it at all but the motionless dog forced her to take that assumption. Does that means the chocolate browniewas it poisoned? "You..What did you to Danny?" The woman named Alexa glared at Tang Li, ignoring the other two woman in the background. According to her, since Danny was hovering near Tang Li, then she must've done something to him.

He came in to find Amunsa, his supposed friend standing at the dinning table pretending as if nothing happens with his dog lying dead on the ground. Arthur got shocked on the sudden dead of his little puppy. He asked him what happened but Amunsa lied telling him that, his dog swallowed a hug bone from the dustbean in which he finds it difficult to swallow but he couldn't and that the bone got in-between his neck which he fell down suddenly on the ground. Arthur trusted his words and didn't bother to check the dogs mouth if it was truly a bone. He took the dog and gave him a befitting burial. Amunsa kicked Arthur's dog really hard on the stomach that he died instantly at the spot.

I park my car by the snowbank, get out fast, and run to the front gates. "I heard a pup died... a first-year pup... a little boy..." "How did he die? Was his inner wolf sick, or did someone attack him?" "I don't know! We have to wait for the principal to tell us! I'm just scared my pup will be too spooked to come back to the rink. It's so scary!" "I heard the pup who died was from Team C. Are any of you parents of pups on Team C? Do you have the pack scoop?"

She looked down at me and then at the dog. “Okay,” she said, “Everything is sorted, I have a team coming in to clean up the place and deal with the dead dick,” she seemed to be talking to the dog, but that would be silly. “Is he really dead?” I asked in a whisper. Leah nodded and then looked at the dog again. Everything that had happened was just hitting me and I could feel the tears rolling down my cheeks before I realised. The dog whined and then licked my face. “He was going to kidnap me or something,” I said, “But he can’t get me now, can he?” Even I could tell the tremor in my voice.
