Author P.O.V. “Hmmm…” Casey muttered as she scanned the series of books on her cousin's bookshelf. A frustrated sigh escaped her lips as her fingers brushed over a particularly dusty volume. But nothing had quite caught her interest yet. Behind her, Zazu sat curled up on the couch, swirling wine in her glass with a smirk playing on her lips. She watched Casey with mild amusement. “So let me get this straight. You are telling me that lousy son of a bitch got that girl pregnant, and then you hurt yourself while spying on them?” Zazu asked, dissolving into laughter.

He crumples beneath her, lifeless. We’ve just launched ourselves at the remaining two when I catch the familiar scents of Xander and Zach flanking us. Relief washes over me, but Zanthe doesn’t falter. She tears into the throat of the nearest wolf, her powerful jaws ending the threat instantly. Xander lunges past us, a flash of fur and teeth, taking down the second with a decisive snap.

And yeah, who cared about Zack and his stupid mate feelings? Zander already made mistakes in the past. Mistakes of hurting his little doll. Not now though. Now he would not hurt her for anyone, not even for a stupid stalker mate. "Zany, there is a puppy. A small little white puppy." Milan excitedly spoke. He looks between me and Zante and backs off. “Shhh Maggie.” Zante purrs. He offers a hand to Kodan who was climbing out of the basement, removing the stairs entirely after he climbs them. I glance down and see Damon’s twisted body on the floor. “Tie them up” he says pointing at Jase and Leo who were surrounded by a group of wolves. Zante carries me to the sofa and lays me down, Kodan and Zev join us and hold my arms.i stare between them and cringe as their touch burns against my wrists.

Good enough for me, Zane is behind me and I stumble on his chest. "Fox, Seat!" Zane orders. The order is respected because when I turn around, I see the dog__ Fox__ sitting and rolling his tongue outside. "Sweet fuck! The dog just listened to you. I didn't know we had a dog," I cry out in fear. Zane's thick chuckle glides past my head, he is so fresh when he is relaxed. When I jerk my head upwards to look at him, he has this boyish grin on his face.

Its pink tongue lolled out of its mouth as it panted happily. Damien crouched down, immediately scratching behind the pup's ears. "Awwww. What's the name?" The woman holding the leash smiled. "Suzie. She's a Labradoodle, six months old." "Well, hello, Suzie. You look like a good girl. Are you a good girl?" Damien cooed, speaking in a baby voice. The puppy yipped back at him excitedly. He turned to me, shifting to make room. "C'mon, Jack."

The silence lasts for about five minutes. “What in the actual fuck?” Ashton asks. “That’s what we were hoping you could answer,” I tell him. “Who is who?” Haze asks. He picks up the little strawberry blonde pup, and the little black/blue furred wolf growls at him. “Well, those are obviously Jordyn and Dominick. So the salt and pepper colored pup must be Xaydyn.” Mykayla says. She is right. The only reason I know is that I saw it happen. Haze puts Jordyn down after Dominick bites his leg. It does nothing to Haze’s leg. Dragon scales and all.

Everyone laughed at him. Zoe told him where JP was. “How are the cats getting along with your little dog’s aunty Liz?” questioned Zande handing a cup of coffee to Natasha. “My kids are not dogs Zande.” Lizzy scolded. “My bad aunty, so, how are they getting along?” Xavier chuckled as he went to take his seat. “You didn’t hear father complain that will make this pack more feared than anything with all these mixed species in one place.”

This time Alexander curiosity was finally piqued as he raised his eyebrows and both of them gave Ash questioning looks. "So what's the full note all about, Ash?" "First off, a Donna is a title. The Donna bears a high rank in the Balck Wolf Clan world. Or maybe, just as what you said. This Donna might be the mole in the Clan. And, the note doesn't end there." Ash grabbed a piece of paper from his pocket and put it on the table. It was a piece of note where the handwriting was too similar. As if it was a part of the mysterious note.

Zane barked sharply, and for a moment, I thought he was commanding the dog at random—but the Doberman halted instantly. It skidded to a stop, lowered itself into a perfect sit, and panted, its massive tongue lolling out. His ears twitched as he tilted his head to study me. I let out a shaky laugh, clutching Ronnie tighter. “Why didn’t you tell me you had a dog? That’s a big dog!” “I tried to warn you when I said I hated cats,” Zane said. “You told me you hated cats; you didn't say you have a dog!”
