[ D O M I N I C O ] I sit beside my beautiful, smiling wife. We're alone in the kitchen, about to be done with our brunch. Like the rest of the house, this room is mostly white and not cluttered. Thanks to her. She runs this place day and night. I let her because she's the boss around here. I know better than to pretend it's the other way around. It's a modest house, but cozy. Who needs a mansion, anyway? Our home is nestled in a quiet town far away from the chaos of Florence.

"Sorry, of course, you're new. No, don't worry. They know me here. I'm just going to find my wife upstairs." "Yes, your friend said that you'd got married." "James? You've met him here?" You don't even want me as your wife, yet you’d take every advantage you can get!" she snapped, slamming her book shut.

"My wife is the only reason I bother coming home at night so I suggest you take your outdated opinions and find a different ballroom to haunt," he said. He didn't wait for a response before turning his back on her and focusing all of his attention back on the way I was breathing.

But keeping my sanity, I put my hands on his chest trying to push him away, whispering: "Stop it..." But Dominik doesn't seem to want to stop, and releasing my arms, he reaches down to my waist holding me by that part of my body, to keep me dammed against the wall but still attached to his body. "You are my wife now, aren't you? Then you should learn to behave like a woman, you are no longer a little girl, now you should start behaving like an adult" Dominik whispers, not letting me run away.

I barely had the time to wrap the towel properly around my chest before Dom stepped in, his face was set in calm professionalism as usual. "Bishop sent me to check up on you." Dom announced without even looking towards my side, he only glanced at me once, but just when I thought he was supposed to appreciate what he was seeing, he didn't even flinch. He looked away from my wet skin as though I was a turn off to him. It makes me doubt if Dom is even human at all. He doesn't find women attractive, could he be gay? He once told me he was married, perhaps he's joking about it, because I've never seen an emotionless man like Dom ever getting married.

I couldn't wait to see the look on her face when she saw I already knew about it, thanks to Alex keeping me subtly looped in on her accomplishments. My wife has no idea about my true business dealings. To her, I'm just her goofy, underachieving husband puttering around the house all day in my ratty flannel pajamas while she goes out conquering the corporate world. She assumes I live entirely off her wealth and success.
