"Then tell me — this 'Lucas' you're looking for, what does he look like?" I couldn't bring myself to look at him. I just stared down at the tips of my shoes. "He... he's also wearing a white T-shirt." "Hah." Dominic let out a mocking scoff. He lifted his hand, gripping my chin, forcing my face up toward his. "Then take a good look. Who am I?" I was forced to meet his eyes — black as an abyss, churning with emotions I couldn't begin to read. "Dom... Dominic Blackwood."

The mirror reflected a shaken but determined Dominic. "I can handle this," Dominic muttered, trying to convince himself. But as he turned to leave, he caught a glimpse of his eyes – they seemed different, almost...amber. Dominic's heart sank. The moon's power was growing stronger, and he was losing control. Selene sighed in relief when she saw that he had calmed down. "I'm sorry, Dominic." she looked at the door. Dominic opened the bathroom door, and his eyes met Selene's concerned gaze. For a fleeting moment, they locked eyes, and Selene's brow furrowed. His eyes.... they were amber gold.

Dominic interrupted, his deep, gravely baritone vibrating through the quiet forest. He stopped, turning his head just enough to look back at her over his shoulder. Under the pale, ethereal glow of the winter moon, his amber eyes burned with a sharp, hypnotic intensity that made her inner wolf instantly shrink back in quiet submission. He observed her small, trembling frame, noticing the way her jade eyes anxiously darted around the shadowed trees. A low, soft rumble formed in his chest, not one of anger, but of a deep, protective assurance.

"I will help to keep an eye on Lady Ashley, I also have received about the girl you asked." Dominic's eyes narrowed down as his the corner of his full red lips widened, "Wonderful. Tell me about her," a going of amusement and deep intrigue settled on his eyes that glittered in a subtle golden color.

The steady sound of a heartbeat echoed in my ears, and I could not tell whether it belonged to me or to the person holding me. Slowly, I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was a pair of familiar green eyes looking down at me. Dominic's dark hair had fallen slightly across his forehead, and his expression was as unreadable as ever as he studied my face. One hand was resting casually against the counter while the other remained tucked into his pocket. It looked effortless, as though catching me had required no thought or effort on his part. His gaze traveled across my face, taking in every detail, from the sweat on my skin to the exhaustion I could no longer hide.

His eyes lock onto me as he steps in, slowly swinging the door shut behind him once more. He holds my gaze steady while he moves, his hand outstretching to me once he gets close enough, with the glass. My eyes dart down to look at it. It looks slightly cloudy, not at all clear like something from the tap or a filter is supposed to look like. It occurs to me then that I’m more of a fool than I realize, thinking he would be any better than Theo with drugging me. Just because he beat the man half to death the night before didn’t mean Dominic had suddenly turned over a new leaf. He didn’t actually care about me. Perhaps he was only angry he hadn’t thought of drugging me himself.

At once, Dominic's steel gray eyes hardened, his hand on her hip tightening till it was deliciously bruising. His Alpha presence erupted, demanding total subjugation from the untamed thing he'd just glimpsed, and the room sparked with an electric static charge. He had seen it, a sure, predatory gleam of amber slicing through her false human innocence."What was that?" Dominic growled as his voice rumbled deep in his barrel chest and sent a rush of terrible pleasure right to her core.

That voice. I looked up. "...Dominic?" There he was. Standing beside our table in a fitted black shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearms, revealing the intricate tattoos covering his muscular arms. The stitched scar near his temple caught the morning sunlight but his expression remained calm, almost unreadable. But his eyes… Those eyes were locked on Bernard. I stared at him in disbelief. "When did you get here?" Dominic didn't answer immediately. Instead, he looked at Bernard. "You were saying?" He asked quietly.

She dropped her head immediately, entirely unwilling to look up into his dangerous eyes, and silently prayed that he would just leave her alone. Alexander noticed her lovely eyes gazing frantically down at the floor, completely avoiding his own. He was instantly enraged. He desperately wanted to see her eyes—her beautiful, expressive green eyes that perfectly revealed exactly how terrified she was of him. He fiercely wanted to see those fearful eyes looking up at him.

God I hope not. ‘Hi’ he replied back with a cold voice. ‘Looks like I came at the wrong time, I’ll be seeing you Rosé’ Adam turned and walked away while I just stood there staring at his back. ‘You’re lucky’ I turned back to look at Aidan and saw that his eye color were pitch black. When his eyes switched from Adam retreating silhouette to mine he calmed down and his eyes turned back into the color we all know and love, but it still wasn’t the same.
