Dominic said to cut the silence. He flipped the dishrag over his shoulder, and I stared at him, taking in his appearance. Dominic hadn’t shaved and sported a two-day-old beard which enhanced the squareness of his jaw. He had undone his tie and unbuttoned the top of his white shirt. His honey-brown hair curled slightly around his ears and face, making him look more carefree than usual. His distinct blue eyes weren’t cold or severe and didn’t give off their regular tense and sexual vibe. They seemed lighter than before.

But then he stops and the silence becomes even lethal as he looks at me like I’m a stranger who’s just insulted his soul. His eyes are colder than I’ve ever seen them, no warmth. The change is so sharp, so jarring that I quiver. My shoulders draw in, my spine straightens like my body senses the shift in energy and tries to prepare but there’s no preparing for Dominic when he’s like this. I remind myself to breathe as she backs away, allowing Dominic to walk inside, his hair styled back with gel instead of parted to the side the way Liam usually has it. With the hairstyle changed and now knowing that Liam had plastic surgery to look like Dominic, I now noticed the differences between the two brothers and tried to keep myself from smirking.

He paced the room like a caged animal, dragging his hands through his hair, destroying the perfectly styled look he always maintained. I took a slow breath, trying to find the courage to speak. "Did you… did you already get a DNA test?" I asked carefully, my voice coming out quieter than I intended. Dominic spun toward me so fast I stepped back again. His eyes were wild, almost unrecognizable. "DNA?" He laughed, but there was no humor in it—only bitterness. "Those EYES are more than any DNA, Vivian. Those damn Kensington BLUE eyes. Unmistakable. Undeniable."

I stumbled against his chest, nearly tripping over my own feet but he held me steady. "You think very lowly of me." Dominic whispered, inching his face downwards. An unrecognisable emotion danced in his eyes as they narrowed at me, studying me. "Shouldn't I?" I taunted back trying to keep my face as blank as possible. My attempt to hide how effected I was failed miserably when he lifted my sweater and started stroking my bare skin with his fingertips. He smiled - obviously pleased with himself when he saw me falter.

It seems like Dominic has come as a blessing to my life, he has given me those things which I didn't even think about in my dreams. As my eyes scanned the hall, they came to rest on Dominic, who was staring at me without blinking. As I blinked twice to clear my vision, I noticed that there were little tears in his eyes. Looking at him, it was clear that he found me attractive and enticing. In his eyes, there was nothing but pure love. He appeared to be nervous. He is very good at hiding his emotions, but he was unable to do so right now. Everyone in attendance at our wedding could clearly see the joy in his eyes.
