It was a two-week run in her wolf-hybrid form and that was even with resting at night to get from the borders of City of Pearl to the western part of the Elovaisus Forest. For almost two weeks, she ran, rested, ate, and slept. She was ecstatic to see the Silver Star Mountains in the distance two days ago. As she ran through the forest in the thick fog, she came to a complete stop as a huge willow tree finally appeared seemingly out of nowhere. The Great Willow Tree was in the middle of the Valentine River. Above it, the great Vale Waterfall streamed down from the Silver Star Mountains. She was not surprised when a wooden boat in the shape of a swan appeared from the depths of the water.

It was happening again. Willow was sitting on the edge of her bed and tapping her feet anxiously on the tiled floor as she stared at the door while biting her fingernails. She was supposed to be anxious about when Scarlett would get here so that she could finally be out of this place, but Willow knew that Scarlett's delay was not the reason for her anxiousness. Her wolf was prancing about in her head restlessly, and she was sweating at the back of her neck. She wanted to see Marshall one last time before she left, but Willow was not sure whether it would happen.

I stopped and turned my head. The wind had blown a stench across my path. Then I heard something rustling in the brush near us. "What is it Luke?" Willow was now staring in the direction I was. I did a flip and shifted mid-air. I landed as I heard Willow scream.

Greyson POV I pull into a large open field deep within the woods. I am very thankful I decided to get a Jeep Wrangler this time around. It holds up very well getting through the woods. I look over at Willow as I turn the car off and see she is sound asleep. She looks so peaceful. I am surprised she can sleep before her first shift. Most young wolves would be bouncing all over the place in anticipation. I watch her sleep for just a little while longer before I know I will need to wake her.

“Showing your mate from out of town around.” “If you don’t shut the fuck up I won’t let you shift and see Jamie for an entire week,” I say, and he whimpers and calms down. I can see Willow from a distance, engaged in light conversation with some of the human tourists. She’s radiant, drawing them in effortlessly. Reid It’s been a few hours now, and Willow hasn’t woken up yet. Her fingers were slightly frostbitten, but nothing severe and her ankle had a mild sprain that should heal in a few days if she rests enough. What worried the doctors were the fact that Willow is asthmatic, but she was out in the cold for over 5 hours. Her lungs were healing, and she was breathing independently, but she still hadn’t woken up.
