I keep having this gut feeling that she would steal them away and that is just something I cannot let happen. I always trust my gut feeling because it is never wrong.

"That's why it's important to always trust your gut. If something feels wrong, it's probably wrong. You don't have to take someone else's word for it. His jaw clenched, his lips tightening before he quickly masked it again with that smooth composure. “Gaslight you?” he repeated, almost amused. “That’s a strong accusation.” “It’s the truth,” I said, stepping closer so my leg pressed even harder against the door. “You’re trying to make me second-guess myself, to doubt my instincts. But I’ve learned the hard way not to ignore my gut, and right now, my gut is screaming not to trust you.” For a long moment, he didn’t respond. But no matter what and how I think about, trying to push it down in the gut of my stomach that it was really just nothing important, those words completely bothers me because in the back of my head, I felt something different from the way he said it. Her voice softened. “The danger is not always the betrayal.” I looked at her. “What is it then?” “It is the blind trust that refuses to see warning signs.” My chest tightened again. “But I don’t want to believe my friends would hurt me.” “And you shouldn’t live expecting them to.” She paused. “But you should never ignore what your instincts are trying to tell you.” I went quiet. The wind shifted around us, brushing through the grass like something passing between worlds.I looked down at my hands.

“No one likes uncertainty.” I stared at the wall in front of me. “So what do I do?” There was a pause. Then “First… be honest with yourself.” I listened carefully. “Do you trust him?” That question caught me off guard. “I… I don’t know,” I said slowly. “Then that’s your answer.” I frowned. “But he hasn’t done anything wrong.” “Maybe not,” she said. “But trust isn’t just about actions. It’s also about how someone makes you feel.”

His words bring me great comfort, and I smile. "So, any wise advice you may have to share." I ask. "Trust your gut, if you feel like you need to watch out for her then do it. But do it discreetly, and give her a probation period. Maybe it all works out in the end." He says as Summer comes out of the bathroom. "Ohh hey, I didn't hear you. I was too busy throwing up, honestly sometimes it feels like my soul wants to leave my body through my mouth." She says as she sits on the edge of her bed.
