“It’s like I don’t exist.”
“That’s strange,” Molly muttered.
“He was all control and dominance earlier. Now he’s acting like I’m invisible.”
“That’s worse,” she replied.
I sighed.
“I don’t like him,” I said honestly. “I don’t like the way he looks at me. I don’t like the way he talks like he owns everything.”
“But you signed,” Molly reminded gently.
“I signed because of aunty,” I snapped, then softened. “I signed because I had no choice.”
“You have to be careful,” she said seriously. “He sounds unpredictable.”
