I gave him a funny look. "Yes, but you were the one who was awake in this world" He laughed at me as he gulped down his porridge and I rolled my eyes. "The real Amy Daunter is dead" The spoon that was on the way to his mouth stopped in mid air. "Yes, that is true, the Amy that we see is not really actually her. She is a doppelgänger or something like that. She was murdered. We saw it in the memories." I told him. "And" He asked.

Unrestrained. I crashed into a wall, brick crumbling around me. Through dazed eyes, I saw Silas charging at the doppelganger, makeshift weapon raised. She batted him aside without even looking, sending him sprawling across the cobblestones. "Stop!" I pushed off from the ruined wall, my own corrupted arm raised defensively. "Who are you? What do you want?" The doppelganger paused, head cocked in mocking consideration. "I told you. I'm you." She gestured to her corrupted form, identical to mine in every detail. "The version of you that embraces what we are. What we've become."

What no one in the room could have ever suspected was that the woman in Alaric’s arms wasn’t Elona at all. The real Elona, unconscious and unaware, was nowhere to be found. In her place was an exact replica, a woman whose appearance was an uncanny match to Elona’s. She was a doppelganger, sent to deceive and manipulate, her mind just as skilled at mimicking Elona’s as her face. Alaric continued to stroke her hair, unaware of the subtle shift in her movements. Every now and then, the doppelganger would look up at him with a knowing glint in her eyes, a slight, almost imperceptible smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.

So, he turned around to see who it was, and he was surprised to see who it was. "Hello, Me." His doppelganger was standing at his front. The cheeky smirk on his lips made him seem like he was up to no good. Actually, he was. "What do you want?" Dominus asked, he knew the doppelganger was definitely up to no good. He knew it would be hard getting him back on the ice because right now he has a bigger problem at hand. "Oh, nothing. I just thought you'd like to know where I'm keeping the Ginnak's girl. She looks exactly like Annabelle, you know,"

They sighed, and Mandy stepped back, leaving only Ember to explain what it all meant. ‘The thing is, there is always a duplicate of a witch. Some duplicates are not greedy and rarely cause havoc. They only show up when needed. But a few others, like you, have troublesome duplicates. The scholars call them doppelgänger. They will stop at nothing to make your life miserable.” Ember explained. So, why should she have a duplicate that would frustrate her very existence?

He was angry, violent… and then he left as soon as he heard footsteps.” Elias stepped forward. “Lena… are you sure?” I looked up at him, my eyes wide and wet with tears. “Yes. He looked just like you. But he wasn’t you. His energy was different. His voice.
