The Betrayal's kiss
he whispered, a wild, possessive glint in his eyes.
His hand slid from my wrist to the small of my back, then lower, pulling me flush against him. “You have no idea what you do to me,” he said, his voice a rough caress. He rubbed his nose against mine, a tender gesture that felt more intimate than any kiss.
Emboldened, I rose on my toes and brushed my lips against his. A soft giggle escaped me, fueled by nerves and giddy relief.
He growled low in his throat. “You’re playing with fire, princess. And if I start, I won’t be able to stop.”
