“If you survive,” he said smoothly, his voice carrying over the clash of growls, “I will surely meet you soon.”
I turned my head just enough to snarl at him. Coward. “Then you’d better get stronger,” I spat, voice thick with promise, “because when I meet you again, I’ll strike you straight in the heart.”
