Those with magical affinities often found themselves with a higher status than those without. For they were considered the ones that were most loved by the goddess Alira. Being a holder of an affinity, Sixten is one who upholds prejudice against those without. It was his firm belief that dragons who have no more than an element type are beneath those with more powerful magic. If Alira did not love those dragons enough to bestow an affinity unto them, then why should he.

I was to wait outside but the screams were ripping at my heart and I couldn't wait any longer.
