And the tone! The book is surprisingly bureaucratic in places, with all those business letters and train timetables, which creates this eerie contrast with the supernatural horror. Summaries make it sound like a constant gothic chase, but the dread builds in those quiet, procedural moments. The ending is often summarized as 'they chase Dracula back to his castle and kill him,' which misses the weird, almost anti-climactic rush of the final pages and the crucial detail that Quincey Morris dies. So yeah, accurate on plot beats, wildly incomplete on atmosphere and character nuance.
