It was going to take three days to get there, as the fishermen had a route, they needed to take to gather fishing traps they set a few weeks ago. It didn’t matter how long it took as long as we got there. After we reach the island, we can rest for a bit and then Cyran and Kellan could fly us to our next destination. I already planned on China since they had a rich Dragon history. Even if most of their legends were myths, there was still a lot of truth in it.

And the stillness of something breaking open inside them both. A nest. A promise. A place to burn. And finally—be kept. She didn’t sleep right away. Her eyes roamed the chamber in the hush that followed, absorbing the textures of everything he’d placed here. She noticed a feather tucked between two coils of gold—one too pale to be his. Something offered. Or remembered. Rhazien’s breathing remained steady beside her. She wondered if dragons truly slept like men, or if they simply closed their eyes to listen better.

I was happy and I had all the things I could possibly dream of having, but it sure as hell wasn't an easy ride to get here. "Take a moment to imagine our pack captured a rogue and that rogue just happened to be my mate. Continue imagining that this rogue used sarcasm as a natural defence and had an answer for basically everything. Now imagine our father was the reason this rogue was a rogue in the first place and she had nothing left so she pretty much demanded that I earn her trust, to prove I was nothing like our father. Imagine that I did this for almost two weeks, only seeing this rogue three times in that period, during which time I killed two guards and almost killed our Alpha. Imagine

It has to be him, behind the anonymous messages, the only one that knows my secret, exposed me to the pack so that he could have me for himself. I shove him back, shaking with anger. Ragnar steps back. He lifts an eyebrow. "Not exactly the thank you I was expecting, seeing as I saved you from certain death." "You're no different! You only want something from me." "Now it doesn't have to be like that," Ragnar says, his voice dripping with silk, even as he bends to pick up the knife. "Greater things are at stake. Half of my territory are being invaded by a bunch of rogues. The Red fang, crimson moon pack..." He pauses, stepping closer, his fingers tracing down my cheeks almost delicately.

“Anyone who says otherwise is a liar. The last Katrall died in the Palace during the massacre about 120 years ago.” Kenward laughed. “All except for a young Princess just ten years old. I come from the stronghold on the Island Isla pussy cat.” Roowl growled. “What is a puny Island filled with snivelling Humans to me?” Kenward continued to laugh mockingly as Roowl’s tail began to fluff out. “We are an Island of secrets and spies kitten.” Roowl growled as another Mrawler whispered something into her ear. Roowl’s head disappeared and a loud howling was heard. All purring stopped and a series of mewing, screeching and yowling was heard.

Wayan asked almost touching Varz’s face. Varz can’t do anything as he is overwhelmed by the fear. “Let me do it!” Doraduo comes out from Varz’s sword. Everyone is surprised. “Varz isn’t it....” Wayan said in amazement. “Exactly, I am Doraduo, the dragon who is responsible for what happened to this village 20 years ago,” Doraduo explained. “So, he has domesticated Doraduo eh? Sir, he must intend to destroy this village, no, even Bali island! We can’t let him stay alive!” Irz triggered.

“His words no longer mean anything after what he had done to us. So long as you keep your word …” “I will,” Silvester replied. “But you must learn how to work together as a team if we want to survive the islands. Powerful beasts have occupied Draconos after the dragons have slowly grown extinct.” Tristan drank in his cup before saying, “You’ve been there before?” “A few times … but we never reached further through the islands. We’ve only been to Falrad and Aggronar isles. Volcron is the biggest island at its center, where we believe more dragons have settled.”

He could guess based on their expressions that this floating island isn’t just a simple island. Fedrich didn’t have a plan to hide it either as he nodded. “Yes.” he answered. “That floating island… is housing a dragon.” He told them. “The last dragon of the monsters’ race.” He added. As expected, another silence fell. “This dragon… is very strong?” Hierro asked. He has heard of dragons from his world and dragons are terrifying creatures, but only in fantasy stories. Now that there is a dragon in this world that they are currently in, he feels curious to see a real one.

His body was hot against mine and his breathing even as he held me to his chest and rested his head on my shoulder. “You are on Insula Draconum. Welcome to the Isle of Dragons little mouse.” His voice was husky in my ear as one of his hands swept the open air, motioning to the beautiful scenery and the hundreds of dragons flying in the air of all colours. The sheer beauty and grace in the amazing creatures knocked all breath from my lungs. An Isle of dragons. It was beautiful. Why did I keep coming here? Before I could open my mouth to ask a question, the darkness surrounded me and pulled me from the island and into a deep sedated sleep.
