How to Catch a Mate
Bronze tried to rise again, his body twisting fully into dragon form now—wings bursting from his back, tail lashing, fire building in his throat.
Haden’s wolf slammed into him, driving him down hard. Claws ripped, teeth tore. Bronze roared, fire spilling harmlessly into the stone as Haden crushed his jaw shut with his bite.
“Enough!” I shouted, my voice cutting through.
The dragons froze, panting, bleeding. Two were down. Bronze was pinned. The last staggered back, scales torn, eyes wide.
Curt released Red with a shove, fur matted with blood. Lechandray’s wolf stood over her kill, chest heaving, eyes glowing.
