My body falls to one side, blood pumping out of my neck as I suffocate and choke. "It's your choice. Turn her or let her die!" The last words I hear before the darkness takes me. Thoughts continue to swarm inside my head while my muscles succumb to numbness. Why me? Is this a nightmare? You get to wake up when you die in a dream, right? I'll wake up... I'll wake up...

"It's just a dream. It's just a dream." I chant to myself as I back away from the army of living dead people, zombies approaching me with long fangs and claws. Dylan and Jake leading the troop. I back away in fear, although fully aware it's just a dream. I close my eyes tightly and open them up again in hopes of finding myself back in my room, but hope isn't for someone like me.

My lips quiver as the tears burst from their dam and I break down, dropping onto the bed. “Where you kill me. Every single time. All I see is my death by your hands. Feel the pain as you stab me repeatedly, even as I beg for you to stop.” I whisper, covering my face with my hands. “I don’t know what it is, or why I have had those dreams since I was a child… But I know… I know you will be the one to kill me.”

Nick was staring at me, “What happened in last night’s dream?” He asked; I cleared my throat, “Um, we were getting married, I said ‘I don’t,’ then that red moon appeared and I was in so much pain,” I started to get really choked up, “I asked you what was happening and you said that I was dying.” I thought for a moment, should I tell him? “And then I did die, and I saw my body…” I didn’t have to say more before Nicholas pulled me into a tight hug, practically not allowing me to breathe,

Snippets of the dreams i had, hitting me in that moment— "Help" One time i was drowning as if i were on the titanic and there was no longer space for rescue, another time i was mauled by a tiger. Hilarious sequences that all led to the same outcome. Death. I had seen death, oh i could go on a carriage ride with him in the middle of the forest at night with my red ball gown and broken heels like Emily Dickinson did. Because i had seen him way too much, In fantasies, dreams and through constant fear. The fear that i could just be walking and drop dead because i wasn't normal. I had AIDS.

Her hands trembled as she looked down and saw crimson blooming across her white dress. She tried to scream, but no sound came. The figure stood over her now, its shadow swallowing her whole. Louder this time, more crestfallen, yet familiar. It's the man, from all the earlier dreams, this isn't death it's another head trip, a dream. This almost seemed to upset me, why would that upset me. I am happy with where I am, my life couldn't be better. I just miss my mother, yes? That is it, I just wish to see my mother one more time, to say goodbye one last time.
